This is cheaper than the Dell posted yesterday and has a faster specified response time of 6 ms vs 8 ms (same resolution, same IPS LCD type, same size) but I think that response times can be misleading without additional information. Dell is apparently more renowned for its quality but that does cost 25% more.
LED backlighting uses ~50% of the power of CCFL backlighting, I read.

The Dell has a better stand but I guess the panels are fairly comparable.

A couple of things I cannot find in the spec which some people might need:
Potrait mode, rotate the screen (using the supplied stand or VESA mounted)
Displayport daisy chaining, I need two displays connected to one laptop which has only mini DP out and I need full resolution on both displays, not sure if HDMI will do the job.
