Just before the usual bigoted racist idiots make their way into here Morocco is one of the world leaders in fighting terrorism and their last attack was back in 2011.
I would have absolutely no problems visiting morocco. Hope someone makes use out of this great deal

Just got back from Morocco and found it to be a fantastic country.
Felt very safe and their infrastructure and focus on climate change put us to shame. Don't be a bigot - great country that some people will judge on religion alone.

I've just come back from Marrakech and have been to Morocco twice including the place in the deal. amazing country with amazing people. Don't let other idiotic comments deprive you of making your own experiences and grabbing a bargain.

Agreed re Marrakech - it was unbearable hassle (and we considered ourselves hassle hardened!!). Essaouira much different - we had trouble getting anyone to be interested in us in the Medina, let alone hassle us!! As someone else said - good for a few days, not a huge amount to see. Decent beach.

It seems this "lidds" character is one of those people who would gladly throw their own kids into a risky situation.
It is sad when in this country you are called a bigot for not wanting to risk your life whilst on holiday.
I don't and wouldn't blame anyone for not choosing this location, and I defo wouldn't criticise anyone for their choice either way either.
Some people shouldn't be posting on here if they only want to attack other posters for their own honest opinion...
Yes that means you "lidds"...keep a lidds on it

Maybe you're missing the point/overreacting?
So many people come into threads about visits to anywhere in this part of the world and quite often spout what is, with all due respect, unfair negativity. Quite often that opinion is based on another country in the region.
What people want are facts, not overreactions and misinformation.
So people are understandably suspicious of such negativity, and are entitled to ask: why?

This deal looks very good. Never been to Essaouira but have been to Marrakech. I wouldn't go again but it was certainly an experience. The hassle you receive walking around the medina was too much at times. If you do go, make sure your partner doesn't expose any flesh. One night, the missus wore a conservatively cut and demure dress..never again, i swear one local nearly rode his moped into the back of an ox and cart. Oh god the mopeds were everywhere, speeding up the pathways and alleyways giving zero fcuks for you and your safety. Call to prayer in the middle of the night. It was probably the biggest assault on the senses I've ever had on holiday and I've been to some places India Cuba etc. Again this deal seems good as I think it's bit more chilled out than Marrakech but tell your missus to dress like the Amish and take earplugs.

It's very much like other places, people walk away with a bad experience because of a few idiots who deal with tourists and see it as their right to rip them off, creates a bad impression for the whole country even though the vast majority are lovely.

I was in France in Dec '15 (alone) to see U2 at the Accorhotels Arena, first gigs since the Bataclan attack! I also remember booking a holiday to Tunisia (2 adults, 2 kids) 0NE WEEK before the beach attack. I know you only have my word for this but, Please DON'T EVER call me a racist idiot (mabye not you, but please see posts above)because I want to steer clear of these countries for the safety of my family! Grrr..

Not been morroco but would love to go, it must be a nice country, some people have bad experience, I'm sure people who may may come to the uk and get racially or sexually abused, they may think the same, I have s friend who went to Iran and got robbed by mobs but the local were so nice to him that he decided to carry on with his journey.
I guess it all boils down to ones experiences.
