This is a great camera that you use anywhere has its own battery and can record to sd card or to your phone via app and even use any sim and stream live for £20 amazing
Super quick delivery too, ordered and within 90 mins had an update saying it had been despatched and DPD would deliver Monday.

Cheers OP, just ordered one for £18.48. Not bad, just waiting for everyone to come on here and tell us it's a load of crap  ... looking forward to having a play with it.

I think this is a good deal, remember it can be used as a wifi hotspot too, so kind of a mini mifi device too. unless I've read the specs wrong? anyone know if this could also be used as a dash cam? is there a mount for that?

I have this camera, was bought from EE, few answers:
No , cannot be used as a webcam.
Battery life I get is about 90 minutes (without 4G streaming).
Charges or is powered via Micro USB
Can record in a loop so suitable as dashcam.
The mount is a standard GoPro thingie and no car mount kit but there should be GoPro ones which do that for you.
Cannot be used as a 4G hotspot, the Wifi is only to download images and video.
Is not waterproof.
Well worth it for £20, image quality is pretty good but not great in the dark (no noise but just... very dark)
So basically, this wont livestream.... Surely thats false advertising by Scan.
I ordered specifically for this feature... And now it turns out all I have is a kiddy camera! Thats really bad!!! :disappointed:

You can livestream, via the Facebook app.
You need to upgrade the firmware (via the phone app) but mine only wanted to update FW with an EE SIM inserted and downloaded updated via the EE SIM, but then these are unlocked so probably no need to

Yes, when power is restored the camera will start charging
It will only start recording after you power it on and press button again to start

In true HUKD style, I have no need for it, never considered one before, wouldn't really use one. It was delivered today :stuck_out_tongue: That was on the cheapest delivery option too - impressed.
Very brief rundown:
You DO need a sim to update. It takes a nano-sim sized card. I happened to use an EE one, can't say if an other telco will work.
The update allows facebook streaming (I've not tested it).
I couldn't find a way to attach it to my own wifi network - only edit the hotspot settings. On the plus side, the hotspot it creates will ALSO share the internet connection from it's SIM card so it acts as a 4G hotspot at the same time.
Yes - looks like you can although as the charge port in on the bottom you'll need to make sure the camera is secured using a different method (clip or attachment)

The camera quality on this is surprisingly good. Much better than the £35 4K action camera that was recommended on here a while ago. I bout the 4K cam and used it twice :disappointed: I wish I’d ordered 2 of these to save on postage

Is it not possible to upgrade the firmware on these without a SIM card?
I used the sim from my iPhone. As long as it’s a nano sim and you have data it’ll work

Surely only an EE SIM can be used? Unless there is a way to set the APN... or does it AUTO set the APN?
I put my 3 SIM in and it tells me that there is an update but when I go into setting and press Camera Update, and hit OK, Nothing happens... Should it not download immediately?
Help required please....

Has anyone managed to get the firmware update using a SIM NOT on the EE network? (EE/ BT/ Plusnet/ Virgin/ Asda/ TPO)?
I think Asda Mobile give 10MB data free with a PAYG SIM, so I'm going to try one of those. Definitely doesn't work with a 3 SIM.

Also, Waterproof action cam is £40, with watch style viewfinder, I think it's a good value. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/ee-4gee-action-cam-full-hd-13-mp-1080p30fps-waterproof-view-finder-watch-case-for-facebook-live-stre?gclid=Cj0KCQjw78vLBRCZARIsACr4cxzpvY_kBPA2duCEcAS7XPH51L9wQjWKZOmplnIczTw8VYfJz8OHKlUaAp05EALw_wcB
