Asda living Llanelli £35 PSN cards reduced to £4 absolutely madness. Managed to grab two. Staff then told me there was no more. Then called more colleagues to check the stock. Barcode on receipt. I know it's a goose chase but well worth it, if you can find them.

So just to recap, there were two of these cards, you got them both, and then decided to post about it?

Why would they sell these off when the are zero value until activated? Asda don't buy stock of these and cost them nothing, they only get a small % when one is sold.

Possibly because it will flash up on HUKD and the goose chase that follows brings people into their shops?

It will only be the old style cards (as per OPs picture) they are selling off. They did the same with the xbox ones. My local only has newer style cards which are full price.

I fully agree. At Tesco, when its the old style cards we waste them off and then cut them up, they then go in the bin.
There is zero reason for Asda to sell these at a reduced price as they hold no value at all until paid, like you said.
It just seems fishy to me. The staff had the right to refuse this sale when they noticed the price via the barcode, as the price clearly states £35 and should not have let him complete the transaction. They are in their right to refuse a sale before money is taken. Oh well.
