Use them for lights, appliances or to make it look like someones home when you're away as a theft deterrent.
Spotted them in Clas Ohlson, Liverpool when I went back for another plug in electricity meter. There's a bin full as per the picture.

Having bought a lamp from them when they first opened I wouldn't trust anything electrical from them. It burst into flames when switched on!

Picture looks like a cheap one I picked up from eBay.
Does the job and can't complaint on that side but I can hear the mechanics very slightly. Problem is I use it for my phone charger by my bed so it's annoying for that. Otherwise fine and this is a very good price.
