Awesome, in my opinion. Obviously, it's an MMO so it's quite different from Skyrim in many respects, but I much prefer it. In fact, having been an ES fan since Morrowind, it's probably my favourite ES game overall. The skill / magic system in particular is far superior to anything from the previous ES games, and being able to play with friends is a blast.

Spoke to a Live Chat person who asked if I was buying from GAME only and shown the links. They didn't have a clue why it wasn't working and said they'll report it back. Probably wont make a difference but hopefully someone responsible for the website will be aware soon enough.

I only said two words, didn't know that merited such a long response! Thanks for taking the time to respond
I don't care about omission (especially if it's just a pronoun like "I") and I don't really mind misspellings that much either.
Nonstandard grammar such as "would of" (which is based on a misunderstanding of the spoken form of "would've", abbreviated from "would have") just irritates me for some reason.
I wish it didn't, but it does, so here I am.
If it doesn't bother you then great! You can continue to use nonstandard grammar and I'll continue to write my standardised versions in response because that's what I like to do.

Join the club, I almost did the same reply you did to 'would of'. I hate it with a vengeance and it is the sign of a certain generation in my opinion. As far as I am concerned spelling is very important. We must have principles and standards must be maintained and this is one of them, otherwise in future people will be talking and writing in gibberish.

In a shopping forum on the tinterweb, it is not a sign of a "certain generation" or of anything else for that matter, the fact you two guys find it so irritating says far more about yourselves than it does about me...
superpanda
29 Jul 17#64
The fact you replied and sound angry says we were right.
maddogb
29 Jul 17#65
oh surprisingly i am not angry, which is very rare these days and yes you were both right in the "correct" use of my syntax, however I am actually more saddened that you both felt it so necessary to intervene and pronounce on an error that bore no effect on the communication of the sentence.
This is so common, an overly pedantic attitude that i personally thought we had seen the end of in the Thatcher days
"i'm only doing my job and this is what it says in the rule book"

Tbh I just wrote the standard version because it took 5 seconds and I wanted to do it.
I really didn't mean any offence and if you're happy using nonstandard grammar and continue to use it, I won't think any less of you. After all, you can communicate perfectly well without standard grammar.
The last thing I wanted was for people to argue and start assuming things about each other
maddogb
29 Jul 17#71

JustWakeUpLink
30 Jul 17#73
Given how passive aggressively you're acting, I'd guess you did actually take some offence.
As I've already mentioned, I wrote the standard grammar for myself, I didn't write it for you. If you've chosen to take offence at my correction, which was mere fact and didn't contain anything even remotely resembling an insult, that's your issue. Literally everything could cause offence, it depends on whether someone chooses to take offence.
If you take offence simply from seeing the correct version of your grammar, it's not my fault. Either you don't care (in which case you shouldn't have taken offence) or you do care (in which case you should do something about it).
But grammatical corrections are not intrinsically offensive.
If I'd used an insulting word like "stupid" or "idiot", you would have a point. I didn't use any such word. I will not use any such word because I'm not trying to offend anyone.
maddogb
31 Jul 17#74
I simply asked you to think, you are obviously incapable of that so before i put you on ignore I shall point out again the fact which could have caused offence
YOU choose to point out an error in some casual typing on shopping forum and YOU choose to do this simply to relieve YOUR own irritation at what most would see as an insignificant event which did not effect the communication at all.
You also still fail to see how ludicrous it is correcting that error, yet attributing terms like "sounding angry" and "acting passively aggressively" about some words typed up on my coffee break.
go do some charity work and put your correct grammar to an actual use.
superpanda
31 Jul 17#75
