Had been with Virgin for years for a total of 4 contracts in the family. Customer service got poorer and price kept going up. I'd then telephone to complain and they'd reduce. Unfortunately, a month or two later it would happen again. Ended up cancelling and going on a cash back deal for all 4.
Good deal for the money but not on experience - beware!

Had a bit of a run in the other day with them, got put through to a manager who told me that all companies were having to do this as the regulator was forcing them too. Told her she was talking rubbish and later confirmed with OFCOM. After my experience won't be using these guys again.

You aren't but unlike other companies they don't block the function so you can and in every other thread most do it and have never had an issue but after my post above wouldn't trust them.....
I'm on a £10 pm 6gb package with virgin 30 day contract. I think I'll stick with it as I get data rollover I'm currently stacked up to 9gb. Bear that in mind as this is a double data offer the max rollover is 4gb.

Is statement from roam free
"On top of this, you’ll pay nothing extra for calling and messaging other mobiles and home phones in the EU"
means that we can call all EU from UK without any additional charges?
philtownes9
9 Jul 17#18
No. Other way around. You can call UK mobiles and landlines when you are roaming in EU countries.

I have unlimited everything with virgin on 3G for £21, I asked for a 4g upgrade 2 months ago same package but they said they don't do one, next closest was with a 8gb cap and that would be £26 a month.
My contract runs out in September, I've been with them 10 years, who knows what nonsense they'll offer me next.

I've been on the 5000mins, 40gb data for £15 deal for the last 3 months and I can't complain to be honest, it's been absolutely spot on. Got 40mb/s out in the middle of rural scotland where the home broadband speeds are maxed out at 4mb.
Also I've done sporadic tethering here and there, it's been no problem.
Also agree with szaman81, can't really blame Virgin for that. I've always set my data limits on my phone knowing full well most companies charge the extra data by the mb or 50mb and is very expensive.
If you are running out of data, you just purchase one time add on which will boost your data, it's £10 for 1gb & £20 for 3gb.

Is this sim with capped speed like the 60mbps speed limit on some EE sim cards?
Opening post
Unlimited texts
8gb 4g data
12 months sim only contract
£13.00 month
To get this offer using Virgin link you will need to select £15 4GB data and continue to basket, 8GB data and discounts would apply automatically
