Not sure how well this will go down compared to the PSN flash sales, but I think it's not bad a deal. So hopefully help at least one person!

Yes you need a US account. There's two ways to do this
-Create a seperate account, like you have on the PS4
- Change the region of your Nintendo account
I'd go with the first method, what I personally use. Easy to set up, and access the store. Once you've downloaded your purchase you can launch it using any account on your Switch.
Here's how to create a new account for the US:
1. Go to https://accounts.nintendo.com/ and create a new account
2. Select the country and time zone of the store you wish to access
3. On your switch console, create a new account and link your newly created Nintendo account to it.
4. Access the eShop, you will be prompted to select which account to use for that session. Just pick which store you want to access
The other method is a bit more tricky with using credit like this, as you either have to spend all the credit or contact Nintendo to switch the account region back to UK. It's more suited to just using credit or debit cards.

The only real drawback of the seperate accounts per region method, is that your digital games are not tied to one account.
The other method of switching region means all games are tied to one account.

Are there any drawbacks to the first method of having a separate account? It doesn't look like it (especially if you can access content from the seperate account in your main account), but I thought I would double check.

Is it 1 per pcgamessupply account or can you only apply one per Nintendo account? I was wondering if I could buy a couple of these by making separate pcgamessupply accounts?

I've bought multiple Karma Koins and a few eShops from them. They usually send it within 10mins. Sometimes theres a hold up or some orders go through security checks but they're fine.

Wow. Has anyone tried applying it to their account and actually using it to buy a game?

Yes I have. When you launch the game it asks you which account to use. The Switch is region free..

Have you tried playing the game on the same console but as a non-US user?

Do you need a US account or can this be applied to a UK one?

Splatoon 2 is $60 so this makes it around £32.
Same for Arms, Zelda and MK8.
Puyo Tetris is only $30 too.
