Afternoon all, was looking around for a few theme park deals and this caught my eye.
You'll get 1 night in a hotel, 2 days worth of tickets and get early access to selected rides before park opens to the general public from just £32.50pp and dates aval int he school holidays which makes a change - yes the hotel isn't right next to the park but for just 32.50pp in the summer holidays is a steal
Eg
These are the dates i've found at the £130 off-site price point but there is others at slightly more
Prices start from £219 based on a family of 4, staying at the onsite at Splash Landings Hotel, and includes;
2 days entrance to Alton Towers Resort per person
Evening entertainment
FREE parking
1 hours early access to the Theme Park
Dates include 10th,16th, 17th, 22nd and 28th Aug - there is others but at higher cost

Depending on the date Holiday inn Stafford which is 26 miles away is £155
Holiday inn stoke on Trent is 17 miles and £187
Scroll further down the list for more options.
The splash landings hotel is reasonable for £219 in my opinion but you'll probably want to add swimming passes too which will bump up the price.

I live about 10 mins from the park. This hotel is nowhere near. It's a fair drive through country lanes. The closest chain hotel would be best western stoke east, probably 15 mins drive away

No this is extra. But it's better value as you buy one day and get another free for staying in the hotel

Having stayed in the stafford travel lodge, I can confirm it is not pleasant! Had a weird damp smell at the time, and one of the guests found a porn mag and tissues under the bed... they asked to switch. Don't think I'd go back. I've been to much better Travel Lodges.

Personally it's much better staying on site. But the price of the hotels is way too much, some rooms being over £300 a night. Considering dinner for a small family can cost around £70, and any other things they want to fleece you for.

Last time we stayed in a travel lodge my wife got into bed and it was wet! Apparently their policy is to turn the mattress over when someone has an "accident" never again will I stay in one of those places!

Just bear in mind the Stafford Travelodge is nowhere near the park and going from there to the park, even on a good day will take at least an hour, that's without any traffic and believe me that journey is awful in the morning! If this doesn't bother you it's a good deal. If you can get tickets seperatly cheaper look for hotel offers in Stoke on Trent, Cheadle, Leek, even Matlock. All much closer to the park and perhaps combine it with a trip to the Peak District.
