Love my Mi Max. Only had it four months though so it's probably too soon to upgrade. Highly recommended and this phone is even better.

Is the new one better? Still no band 20, no NFC and a slower processor. I'll stick with my 4/128 Max 1.

This new one can you believe has a slower processor! That's progress! 625 new vs 650 old.

yes in raw performance the 625 might not be as quick. but you will gain a newer processor, which likely means it'll be supported for longer for updates.
in addition, it's much more energy efficient. I'm doubtful you'd see much day to day difference in comparison, after all, they're both mid range chipsets.

The delivery is always the problem with these AliExpress, Gearbest etc phone deals. In the time it takes for the thing to arrive a better deal for a better phone will likely show up.

AliExpress orders have recently been arriving in around 14 days from ordering.
P.s the way AliExpress works is very different to the usual Chinese retailers like gearbest.

Here a link that gives a bit more detail as to why Xiaomi probably chose the snapdragon 625 rather than the 650 or 652 which are in the Mi Max 1.
