I came in to add the Dishonored 2 bit that others have commented. However, I will further add you can go for the PS4 version of Dishonored 2 as well if you happen to also own a PS4 or PS4 Pro. Apparently the PS4 version stacks up a bit better and PS4 Pro is the best option. So if you have PS4 and Xbox One, go for the PS4 version of the game.

What colour controller have people gone for as well out of curiosity? Only the black and blue state they are v2 controllers with Bluetooth. The red I think has to be as I think they only started offering that this year. What about the white? I assume it is also v2, did they make a standard white v1 controller or only the lunar white?

Sorry didn't read that bit on the end in your original post. The white controller (i.e. non lunar) was released with the Xbox One S so no, there isn't a V1 of that controller.

If buying the games to sell, you will probably get more for the Xbox One version of Dishonored looking at eBay and should get around £20 after fees back so controller for £15ish, very good. I might sell Gears myself and put the money towards the digital Xbox One and PC Play Anywhere version.


In contrast to what I said above, if you sell the controller on eBay you should get at least the £30.99 back making Gears a freebie, go coloured one for this, red would probably work best. You may even get the £35.99 back to get both Gears and Dishonored for free.

That is IMHO the worst thing about the lousy tesco direct website, you can add whatever you want to the basket, it only checks stock levels when you actually try and go to checkout, which is really annoying if you have spent ages choosing stuff you can't actually buy. Really stupid system....

Yeah me too, literally missed it by a matter of minutes too as someone said they had it go through about 2 mins before I tried but despite trying to add GOW4 several times it took it out again every time I tried to check out without fail. Those coloured controllers look so good too ;(

Pretty sure it's a misprice though as it does clearly say when you are selecting controller and game that it should be £52.99, which is a pathetic deal, probably about the same they cost separately at non rrp rates anyway. Hope they decide to honor considering the game and controllers have been out for a while now I'm sure they could without incurring any massive loss, but who knows if they do...

Have to say unlike John Lewis and Amazon, Tesco are incredibly bad with customer service these days hence I now order most of my items anywhere but with them,expect cancellations very soon.
Tesco direct used to ring to say they were cancelling an order with apology now its a very different story,ordered for my son with very low expectations from Tesco even if they do honor it will probably arrive battered in a plastic bag.

these new controllers are terrible quality, have had 3 in a row break within a few weeks. The left stick keeps crunching and getting stuck particularly bad with fifa. Lots of reports of this elsewhere too. No issues with elite or original controller.

I'm really not sure, seems some people who got it yesterday are having their order progress, though not sure anyone has got a dispatch yet? It's quite a big ask for them to honour as it's over £20 less than the offer is supposed to be (£52.99) and since it has been in stock twice now, they probably have a massive amount of orders to fill, possibly well beyond their actual stock levels as I imagine at this price some will have been bulk buying them.

I managed to order two today, got the red and blue as two separate orders with GOW4 and Dishonored 2 on each order as that seems to be the best value option. Was only going to order one, but I really like the look of the red and blue pads and couldn't decide which I preferred.

If this comes through, I will have one pad of every colour, as I already have an old black one from original xbox one and a white one from the one s. Just need a cheap bluetooth dongle and I could use them on the PC too.

Really hope they honour these for us. Guess we won't know until Monday as Tesco's Online side seems to completely shut down over the weekend (or they would have surely spotted this sooner?) despite all their shops still being open.....

Should work with any. It was the original black pads that had to have a official MS adaptor because they didn't have bluetooth, the whole point of bluetooth is that it's supposed to be a universal format so much better compatibility. Still annoying though that Desktops, which are more likely to be good for gaming still don't have integrated bluetooth but I guess the dongles are cheap enough...

I did for the games on one of the two orders I placed, simply because that was the default and wasn't charged extra, oddly they haven't dispatched. On my second order (wanted two colours of controller) it let me have both for store collection so I did. All the store collection parts of both orders are ready but the two games it set as delivery on first order still not dispatched. It's strange but early days yet....

Each to their own! I find the white feels cheapest. Lunar white is my favourite, the grip is better than elite and is my default pad, elite mainly for fps.

Assuming the code is still redeemable, do you or anyone else know if it includes any of the DLC as well? I already own all of the Xbox 360 Gears of Wars games digitally (I think a combination of 99p digital codes and GwG), but only have a couple of the DLCs.
