take a polished but rather generic platformer..... but add a stand out feature of VR.
then, re-release with it stand out feature removed.
Am i the only one missing something here?
I understand oculus rift only may be a little limited, and can see the temptation to open up their playerbase. but at least keep in the 1 thing making the core game great!.

I wouldn't be surprised that Oculus have some kind of exclusivity deal in terms of VR capability, even then, according to reviews it didn't add much anyway.

on your 2nd point.... i beg to differ. the stand out thing for luckys tale was its VR. it was (is) really cool looking around the game environment at every possible angle.
your 1st point however you may be right... i hate it when a sequel to a game loses features rather than gains them is all.. i would not mind seeing an improved luckys tale game, but i aint regressing to a monitor after playing in VR.
