Does anyone know which one is correct please?

So you'll have £500 credit, you place the order for £219.99, making sure you select Buy Now Pay Later. If you select 12months BNPL you will pay zero interest as long as you pay the balance in full before the 12 month finishes. If your late you will be hit with a full 12 months worth of interest! You will get a £50 credit back to your account by the date it states in the terms so best wait to pay the balance till after the credit is applied.

Thanks makes more sense, just to clear a few bits up. I've been offered £500 credit, if i buy the item for £219.99 that amount will be taken off the credit and i need to pay it back bit by bit or fully until I've paid back £219.99. But with BNPL i can postpone the payment and just pay it full and won't have to worry about paying a minimum £5 or 7%.
Then after all this i can put it behind me and not worry about very again.

What does this whole credit account mean? The credit they're offering me on the agreement screen to applying for a very account, do I need to pay that back? New to this, I have the money to pay after I get £50 credit. But whats this avout minimum payments towards credit, on the contract details?

Hi,
basically you are applying for a credit account, you need to do this to get the buy now pay later. So you need to apply for the account, making sure the order is on a buy now pay later. You can then pay it off once the credit has been applied back to your account.
hope this helps

Would going through quidco or topcashback affect the £50 credit ?.
blueyes74 to llewellynp
24 Jun 17#38
No it won't affect it. I did the Switch deal where Very were taking £30 off and I still got my topcashback. I bought a laptop and still got credit and cashback.

The first was on the date Very said it would, but the second took a week longer, I wasn't expecting it to be honest and thought it was a lesson learned, we'll see what happens this time round, ordered 2 again as seperate transactions.

Sweet how long does it usually take for the £50 to be credited ? I was going to sell the games on eBay you get around £25 each after fees so I'm only paying like £120 for the console then

Or would you think I'm safer going for the Tesco deal and selling the games that comes with that means I get FIFA and console for £150 instead of the potential £120 on here tho
Adamm_92
23 Jun 17#18
Will the £50 money back be garaunteed though I was just about to get the Tesco deal but if this is better il get this sell overwatch and forza for £50 got the console and FIFA for £120? But that's only if I get the £50 deffo off them :/

I'll be honest there's been many that have struggled to get these deals honoured with Very, a lot including myself have never had a problem but I would say it's NOT guaranteed.
I would screen shot every page and step you make when placing your order, including the stage where you pick BNPL, that's the part that normally lets Very get out of it. The system doesn't always pick up the and apply the BNPL and then you have effectively not been eligible for the credit back. Once you have placed the order I would try check and make sure it's been apllied as a BNPL, even get them on live chat and let them confirm it, keeping the transcript from your chat in case you need it at a later date.

Only time I was stung by Very was when I ordered xbox and ps4 in a £50 cashback promotion assuming I would get £50 on both however it only applied to 1 item .... it was too late when I found that out... (annoyed)

Also £50 back on the silver Ps4 slim 500gb, not sure which others are 'selected gaming items'
That's a really good deal to be fair, £199 for a new colour, yet to be released PS4 with 2 pads. Other retailers are selling it for £279.99

23 Jun 17#13
So this is cashback effectively? Not £50 credit on your account that can only be used for another very purchase?
vassy1 to matt139
23 Jun 171#14
Its not a cashback i guess. It's to the very account they credit £50 to be used in next purchase with them. Marketing
trakker1 to matt139
23 Jun 17#16
Because you "have" to apply a buy now pay later to get the deal, the £50 credit back to your account would be applied before the BNPL finishes. The trick is to wait till the credit is applied then pay the remainder of the balance £169.99

Not when you look at the value in the games and the price you could end up paying. Your paying an extra £50 for Halo and Tomb Raider

"The ability for you to use Buy Now Pay Later will depend on how you manage your account and your credit status."
Probably going to get cold votes due to it being Very. Personally I have had no issues with them. Made purchases with cash and using their BNPL options and they have been spot on every time. Heat from me.

23 Jun 17#6
I knew when posting this it would get a lot of cold votes and for good reason, Very have been terrible for many and it's such a shame but I do feel this is still worth a post on here and there will be many like you and me that it's worked out for.
I would hand on heart order this if I needed one, even with all the complaints from older deals. It's still not a bad deal without the £50 cashback but if the £50 works it's a fantastic deal.
