Yep... If they tacked on multiplayer it would have either come at the expense of the (utterly fantastic) singleplayer campaign due to MachineGames diverting resources to it, or they would have had to get a third party in to do it, like with DOOM.
I for one am preordering it based on the strength of The New Order and The Old Blood - some of the best Nazi murdering fun I've ever had, and there was never a moment when I thought "I wish this had multiplayer"

Is there any multiplayer in this one? was a bit disappointed by the newer ones like old blood or new order that there's no multiplayer.

No multiplayer made them better games IMHO.

Do you get the Steam key straight away or do you have to wait until October? Thank you to whoever answers.

Key comes a couple of days before release - usually in time to pre-load before release day.

Started playing the first one, current gen, recently, after first playing the addon/sequel - if that makes sense? I can't fault them for what they are; just nice, wholesome, Nazi murdering, gore-fests
Fantastic. I hope the latest iteration doesn't break from this tradition? If if it does, I'd like to nominate a more modern setting, communists at Glastonbury anyone?
Heated OP! Although I probably will wait out the inevitable sub-£20 price drop.

The usual pattern on cdkeys is that it'll be quite cheap to pre-order. Then once the game is out, the price goes up slightly. Then a couple weeks after, it drops again. I don't think you'd make a huge loss either way, cdkeys still has some of the cheapest digital prices out there.

Don't pre order! It's not rocket science. It's not going to go out of stock if you wait for reviews. And Wolfenstein games are historically about £0.50 within a month of release anyway.

All of the Wolfenstein series has been excellent fun.
They are being cheeky with the price, it will get cheaper than that.
I will have it anyway, but not at £27.99 that's for sure.
