Randomly came across this whilst looking for something else.
This is advertised online but available instore only as a clearance item so I can't give any definitive information on availability. It should be ideal those with above average water storage requirements because this is half as big again as a normal "large" butt (205 Litres) but the downside is that it's physically large, so make sure you have space (it's 940mm high by 800mm Dia). You'll need to cut your own holes and provide your own stand (Breeze Blocks will do the job so you may well be able to put something together for little or no outlay), or you could also buy the associated stand from Wickes as well, but that doubles the cost and therefore reduces VFM. Comes with a 5 year guarantee so seems like a pretty good deal for less than a tenner.

Personally I'd go for a 500 litre or greater capacity because...
Wait for it...

I suppose we're more used to these being barrel shaped but there's no reason it has to be that way!

I hope some do turn up because these things are normally well overpriced for what they are i.e. a bit of moulded plastic

And the investment costs in raw materials tooling, machinery, staff, marketing, legislation, logistics, storage, packaging etc. But it is just an overpriced piece of moulded plastic.

yep, £10 is a bargain for a proper butt, I was thinking about getting a used 1000 litre IBC container for about £30.

A bit of moulded plastic strong enough to hold 310 litres (i.e. 310 kg) without buckling or being weakened by UV.

Only four reviews, all from five years ago, suggest that there will not be any of these, in any store, anywhere in the country.

shouldn't the tap be at the bottom? I have a water butt connected to my gutter and tap is at the bottom of it

That's not a tap it's a connector for the downpipe diverter.
