This weekend lidl has all in one dishwasher tablet (40) for 1.99. Perfect for fathers day present after all the barbecue.

Yes. Which? Best Buy (along with the Aldi equivalent). In their tests, Fairy Platinum came out very slightly better but it is 3-4 times the price depending where you shop and which pack size is on promotion.

Was that a recent test, because lidl changed the formulation last year, I used to rate the original ones, but I find their "new improved formulation" ones aren't as good, and are now worse than finish.

Ive been using these exclusively for 2 years and they work fine. Better than Finish in our dishwasher.
A bargain for this price

Heat added, thanks OP. this brings them down to the same price as the Lidl classic dishwasher tablets I use all the time and they're great. I'll give these a try now they're so cheap.

these are tablets not the same as fairy's capsules, so dont know how they can compare, I tried them last year didnt like them as left a lot of residue behind, that was on all cycles. ended up giving them away to family member who had the same issue, different dishwasher brands, Neff and samsung.
If they are okay for you then fine but not me me sadly.

I bought a box with the attitude "how bad could they be?" and now I don't use anything else. I used to use Fairy Platinum and they are slightly better but not enough to warrant the price difference.

Yep recent as in this year as fairy changed their formulas too hence the retests

This is cheaper than tesco economy tablets which are £1.60 for 30 (they are very good btw but probably not as good as these lidl ones)
