GPS is the main thing here - If you use your phone as a sat nav then don't rely on Vernee phones!
A quick internet search shows both models Mars and Thor suffer from the same poor software/hardware issue that GPS doesn't lock to your location, moves around when stood still for example.
I have 2 with this problem (not the only problem I might add).
So if you are buying from Gearbest, make sure you check this thoroughly within the first 45 days so you can return it for a refund.

I think the caveat to add to anything like vernee, elephone, doogee, umi Digi, cubot etc is that you probably will get what you pay for, it probably will not last as long as a "known" such as Samsung, LG, Xiaomi etc, but if your paying the 8th of the price it'll probably be good for a year as long as you don't hammer it, just put it in a case and get a screen protector for it.

Agree entirely.

For me, I think it's probably better going for something like an Honor phone which whilst cheaper than a Samsung, has the necessary quality from being in the market more than a year.
The deal from Argos @ £189 is excellent as it has a 2-year warranty.

Going by the usual outlandish Chinese battery capacity claims it's probably no more than 250mAh

Chinny phones are great if you dont drool over selfies and need razor sharp GPS.

Got this delivered on sat after ordering it on tuesday night, from the EU warehouse.
Cost just over £86 but worth that little bit extra to get it within 3-5 days.
My other phone was a Find 7a and its not too far away from the great experience i had with the Find so far.
Early days i know but i bought the Find 7a twice, just under £200 the 1st time around and just under £100 the 2nd time.
Stock android was a nice surprise on the Vernee

This is my first post. I have purchased from Gearbest in the past and have had mixed results. Once waiting a couple of months for a phone, however more recently the phones arrived in four weeks. The problem I have is I ordered a Elephone s7 with the helio x25. 90% of the time the phone doesnt allow me to make calls. I've done the usual checks and factory reset but the same problem. I contacted Gearbest and they said to return the phone, you cant do this through Royal Mail as they dont allow you to send mobiles to China due to Li batteries. Gearbest have said not to use a courier as the phone will get stuck in customs and delay money back. The best they have done so far is to offer me a part refund of 40USD and I keep the phone. But the phone cost me £158. Any suggestions anyone?

did you pay through PayPal? or credit card? start a claim with PayPal or your credit card, then never get elephone again. I had one worst phone ever, then i got a doogee, which was worse than the worst phone ever lol

Morning Alice,
I emailed you yesterday with the order no. and details. Hope you can help. I have now been offered 85USD but this is still only £65. Less than half of what I paid for the phone. Not happy

Thankyou christopherturner10690. I'll probably chase the credit card company and sort it this way. Dont think I'm getting anywhere with Gearbest

I've never had any issues with them either. :-)
Still, if you get a solid unit it is a decent daily driver for the price.
this is the new model :
