it would use it if that's the only way in.... don't open the door and leave the cat outside. Mine was unsure at first but remember it's a cat .....!

Yes great price as I got one £30 second hand. It really works as it keeps a local tom cat out of my mums who was eating her cats food and also spraying everywhere.

our cat would not use it as it did not like the whirring sound on activation: useless

Whirring sound? Ours just clicks once when she sticks her head in as the lock retracts, no whirring at all

Ridiculous comment. It makes a click when it releases the catch.

these work really well, we have one confident adventures cat and one nervous, the nervous one took a bit longer to get used to it but the confident one was fine really quickly.
I taped the flap open without batteries so they got used to going in and out, then put batteries in with the flap still open so they got used to the click and whirr then finally normal - took a day if I remember correctly, just don't give in cats can be stubborn

excellent price, think I paid double this and still think it was a worth while investment. Paid for itself by stopping the fat cats stealing food!

They do a larger version that might be suitable but not at this price. I bought mine from a lady who was upgrading as her chihuahua had grown too big for it.

We have one of these and while this is a good deal for this product, if you do have a problem with other cats entering your house I wouldn't bother with this; cats just lift the flap open from the outside and come in which creates a very annoying banging sound until they manage to do it. I'd recommend one that needs a chip from both sides.

Depends how clever the cat is but so far it's been ok. Sureflap do have the model that locks it both ways as well but not for this price. I'd say give it a go and resell it if you have any problems as it should sell for this much on eBay.

Installed this about a month ago due to neighbours cat coming in and out as it pleased.
Cost £45 from amazon then so this is a great price. One cat took a day the second took over a week but they both now use it.
As mine is installed in an insulated conservatory wall cats can't open it from the outside as its at the end of a tunnel !

It's a shame the larger Sureflap Pet Door is never on offer as one of my cats is too big for this :disappointed: great price though!

These are worth the money. One cat took three weeks to get the hang of it. My other more stubborn cat took six months! Now they are both using it everyday. I no longer worry they are left out in the cold and rain.

There's an imminent smart phone addon in the form of an additional piece of kit for this model/new flap so you can control the status from your phone/home automation setup!
The flap advertised here is great. We paid about £70 and wouldn't be without at that price, so this is hot.
