Is it DS2 + Scholar of the First Sin, or just the DLC? Sorry if that's a stupid question, it's just not entirely obvious from the Humble site.

It's the complete pack with all dark souls 2 content

There is no DLC called Scholar of First Sin - it's the Scholar of the First Sin edition, which is a remastered version of the game (64bit, uses DX11 instead of 9, enhanced online mode) that includes all DLC (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King).

After the high of last months bundle, comes the low of this months, getting Plague Inc is good though. I don't like the fact that there's a comic instead of a Humble Debut though.

We're still getting the full complement of eight games, just without one being a 'debut'. The comic is an extra, as it was last month.

Personally I wouldn't have minded Ashes of the benchmark, Superhot and Plague. Seems like a pretty solid bundle to me

Not actually better value than the sale price (has been £7.50 a few times now, may well be even lower by the end of the month) unlike previous headline games plus this month's bundle was a bit of a disappointment for me with 2 games I already owned and only 1 I was particularly interested in besides the headline. I imagine a lot of the people who already picked up Superhot from the G2A bundle feel the same.
Even if I didn't have DS2 (which is easily the weakest of the Souls games I've played) there's no way I'd go in for this one. I do wish they'd put some kind of system in place for people who get duplicates since you buy blind (e.g. 'pick 6 out of 8' or perhaps store credit/ credit towards other bundles), it's just not worth risking being let down on months where the headline game doesn't provide value on its own.

Ashes isn't of interest to me really, monthly's have a lot of strategy games recently which I hope isn't a continuing trend, although I sold Stellaris to cover the bundle so that's not too bad. Also superhot being in that G2A bundle means most people who get monthly will have it.

Ah didn't even realise it was the same amount of games, just the lack of debut so assumed, my mistake :man:

I would prefer DS III but DS II will do. is it any good man. i have heard that some people did complain on it.

It is a good game, it's just that when you compare it to the other souls games it is easily the worst. This is down to Miyazaki not directing this game, so the atmosphere and excellent level design isn't quite there. Having said that, being the worst of an amazing bunch isn't too bad at all.

Not sure about last month's selection of titles. Stellaris looks decent but I doubt I can commit the time and dedication it requires. I already own Superhot and I'm not thrilled by the others.
Admittedly I was planning to take a break for a month but the incentive of that Humble store discount meant I left it too late.
Humble monthly having a lot of bad months lately it's a real gamble buying these things, rather just buy normal bundles to give to charity and get games as at least I know I am going to get a decent game or two.

Last months bundle was hideous!!! DS2 was around £7 in the sale too, i bet the rest of the games are poop.

There sure are a lot of picky people moaning about getting 8 games for £9.26 considering it goes to charity

lol charity.... if u really think that :\ a fraction goes to charity, the rest is all to humble.
charities pay really high, specially in the UK, i know this is a US thing but im sure its the same

A whopping 5% goes to charity. The argument is fair when it comes to their normal humble bundles, but not the monthly stuff.

the problem facing the humble bundle is that the games offered as a package are repeating .... which I think makes the package worth a lot less so if the headline game, as in this months case, is a bit pants then it just is not worth doing.

i dont see any problems. 9.50 for 8 games is a great deal. it also helps me with my game money spending addiction. i feel happy when I get 8 games every month and dont spend money unnecessarily on AA titles. i wait a little for price drop and bobs my uncle.

I can't stand the Dark Souls games, so I'm tempted to skip this month. Then again, I might just give it away.

I find it very hit/miss affair, I stopped the previous months, and when I saw the games I was glad. This month's was a good deal. Next months, I'm tempted, I have original DS2 on my steam account, but never paid for the Remastered + all DLC's version. So £9 for that, and some other random games is a good deal (for me).

I've really enjoyed the last few of these.
Undertale, Inside, This is the Police, Plague, Ashes and Shoppe Keep are all games I've looked at and not been quite ready to buy, and Stellaris and DS2 have both been on my wishlist for a while.
Humble's helped me find a couple of games I really enjoyed, so hopefully the same might be true with some of the above.
I wish they'd included the VR version of superhot as the original feels devalued by the G2A bundle, but all in all (for me) these have worked out really well. A lot of it is quite popular stuff though, so I imagine for bigger spenders who are into indie these might be a bit frustrating. I sometimes swap duplicates if I'm not giving them to friends as presents, and generally have had good experiences on the swapping side (steamtrades) if that helps anyone.

Still, getting 10% off all humble purchases with 5% of that going to a charity of your choicis enough to warrant buying games from their rather than steam.

I've had the 1st one for ages but never played it because of the reputation. Finally tried it this week and i've seen a lot of screens with 'You Died" on them. Referring to youtube videos, this seems to be the way to play the game so I guess I "Got Gud" pretty fast......
Joking aside, apart from the unfair we'll kill you as soon as you go through the white doorway crap and the sudden deaths that you can't predict unless you've already died there before, it's not that hard. Irritating and grindy, yes. Might as well call it what it is, Dragons Lair 3D :stuck_out_tongue:
