FFS, just got the disc, second hand from Granger for £5.99. Would quite happily have paid the extra £3 for the convenience of download if I'd known this was coming

Is this still worth getting? I was initially put off by the lack of a campaign then I heard the player matching was a real PITA. At this price it seems a good deal (especially for digital) but is anyone left playing it?

great deal, got it last time it was this price. Still populated but yeah sometimes you'll get all the higher level players on one team

But can you ride Tauntauns in it?, spaceships are all well and good, taking control of Heroes/Villains in co-op looks good, but ridable Tauntauns are the deal clincher.
If it doesn't have ridable Tauntauns then I may have to hold out for the sequel.

Wampas are good too, but not ridable, that would be silly to have a saddle on a Wampa! - No!... Ridable Tauntauns are where it's at!

Not much Life left in this and the DLC is not playable offline.

ive just got this using using the 12month membership + battlefront offer for 39.99, and it was getting this free that got me to do it , if id have known ps+ was going to drop price and also this was going to be this cheap i wouldnt have bothered getting that deal.
I did get 2 extra things installed 1 was a season pass and 1 was some deluxe content. what does the season pass do?

Even if you don't get on with the game itself buy it to access the X-Wing VR add on. One of the better VR experiences out there albeit short and sweet.

yes that is for new subscriber's, but still it's a dieing game and gone down hill very quickly. BF4 still has a higher ratio of players an how old is the game? This will be a PS+ title by the end of year if I'm not surprised.

I don't doubt the base game will hit PS+ at some point, and likely will be around the time Battlefront 2 comes out, however I doubt the ultimate edition will be as they will likely be hoping to still sell the extras by giving only the base game free.

Having said that, have other games that have been given free with PS+ purchases ever hit PS+ as one of the monthly games? I only remember one game given in this way before off hand, LittleBigPlanet when PS+ first launched and that never became a monthly game to my knowledge, later games in the series did but not the first one.

All content, chance to play in the build up to BF2 which is still 6 months off, if you even planned on getting it at launch.
