From the reviews I'd suggest buying a sharpening stone as well, described as 'razorsharp' but some have received rounded edges. Nothing a couple of minutes with a stone won't fix though. Look for axe sharpening on YT, I reccommend Wranglerstar's videos if you intend to sharpen it yourself.

there's nothing inherently evil about axes & knives - they are just tools

from all the reviews about the axe its not looking good, most say its sent blunt and some say its bad quality. i would guess its a copy because a brand like Spear & Jackson would not sell a axe blunt and would have a good build quality. so like i said i think this add on item is a cheap china clone using a big brand name.

I bought this just a week or so ago when it was last here for a fiver. needs more than honing in a stone, ridiculously blunt at the outer curved edges (unless that's how they're supposed to be, if it's not meant to be that way ie sharp for three whole blade, needs sharpening on the grind stone. By hand stone it would take yonks!

I'm talking a couple of mm thick blunt at the outer edges. That said, once ground and honed, it does look good quality
