If you need a heavy axe , this could suit you. Not many this weight at this price. The reviews are good on the whole . I bought one ,but do you need one ?

No you need a log splitting maul, like this, to split logs. Splitting logs with a felling axe is an exercise in wasted time and effort. To split kindling a hand splitter like this is the way to go.

Except for killing zombies, contract disposal etc. why would anyone need a felling axe? If you've got trees to chop down then a saw, or chainsaw, is a much more sensible option.

I used it to cut a tree as I don't have a chainsaw. Now you find one cheaper and that would help those who have no chainsaw.

. . . why would anyone need it . . . ? Umm, maybe for splitting logs - just as it shows in the actual items advertisment! Heat.

You need a hand axe for splitting logs not a felling axe. :smirk:
I just use a reciprocating saw so it's a moot point. :stuck_out_tongue:

this is the same as the small version that was posted a few days ago. by that I mean they are been sold as SPEAR & JACKSON RAZOR-SHARP but from the reviews on the small axe they are all blunt and poor quality making me Guess that they are China clones using the brand name . their just too cheap for a good brand axe. the quality of them that people are receiving spear & Jackson would not even let them leave the factory.

is there not something about how they are not fully sharpened for safety in transport?

no nothing. and I would say about 90% of people would not have the tools or skills to sharpen a axe so they have to be sharp. and the title says razer sharp anyway

A spoon? What's wrong with just using your hands like a normal person.

bought to keep under the stairs in case of a zombie apocalypse seeing as semi automatic weapons aren't readily available in the UK a la The Walking Dead.
