They're both decent phones. Depends on how much you want to spend - the 6X is higher spec and higher price accordingly.

My son has the 5c and loves it.
6x is definitely a step up though so if you can afford it spend th extra £70ish.

In the context of the P9 Lite being available around Christmas time for £139, (which had a FP scanner and an extra GB of RAM,) I think this is a poor deal.

If you can't find the P9 Lite or P8 Lite 2017 for a similar price, you can go for the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus which also has a FP scanner and 3GB RAM.

the 6x has 5.5" screen. Looking at 5.0" really. 5.2" maybe ok.

No problem Nigel. I picked up one of these mint, second hand for £100. In the few days testing before selling it to a friend, I was really impressed by the build quality and the near stock OS. The FP scanner is nice and fast and the extra RAM should make it last a while. Screen could be a touch brighter but for the £, that's just nit picking.

I've currently got a Moto G4 which I do like a lot.. Apart from a bit too big really and runs hot with heavy data usage... But it's very quick 2gb ram should be minimum now imo

What was the camera quality like?

I wish I could tell you. I had the phone for something like 3 days and just tested that the camera worked. Just have a look at some of the reviews and the camera samples. If the camera isn't good and the camera is the most important thing for you, something like a used S6 maybe a better bet.

The camera is ok for the price of the phone, I have been using mine since February and the phone is pretty good but does have it moments which have become more frequent.
