awful rice, bought two packets and still have second sitting there, goes all mushy and sticks together. good if you want sticky rice

isn't this the same long grain rice available for like for 40p/kg in supermarkets ?

it's not pure Basmati Rice..so will stick together.
pay little more and get Real pure Basmati Rice.

Whether it sticks or not is as much to do with the rice preparation and cooking as the type.

Average deal for average rice ?

I second Saadia's comment. I bought it about a month ago at the same price and regret it. Tried various ways to cook it, but always end up with a white mush like a lump of soggy white flour. Absolute waste of money, IMO.

Have not voted either way but thought best to warn others.

This isn't too bad of a deal if you like Akash Akash 10KG ASDA £8.50

Been this price for a few months and as others are saying it does stick and have to rinse,not like the Kohinoor I last had that never sticked.

Isn't this 70% long grain and 30% basmati, very deceiving got caught once I thought it was like the long basmati by kohinoor but it was horrible even after rinsing

it only has a few grains of basmati rice in it. it's mostly inferior quality long grain rice. only good for rice pudding. would not take another packet if they were giving it away!
