when i checked powers consumption on website it says 93watt, on the back of the TV says 190watt? one of the reasons of getting this was the efficiency compared to a 6 yr old LCD which also uses 190watt.

Strange thing happened when I went to collect my tv today. My number got called at Argos and I went to the desk .
Than I saw a man walking away with Samung Tv.

Turned out he took my tv - as somehow he was given wrong one- his Hisense 55inch was left behind. Nobody run after him, they just gave me new one.

I also got an upgrade to MU6100. Great tv. Even with my very slow cheapest broadband still plays 4K content. I use ethernet cable - that def helps. Also voice remote is great addition.
Thanks!

The only differences I can see between the 6000 and 6100 is that the stand is a different colour and that the 6100 has bluetooth. Are there any more differences between the two?

Thanks for posting. I picked mine up today. I too got the 6100 so very pleased. IMO the picture is great and the sound it pretty decent for a flat screen and I will not need a sound bar. Thank you.

Wanted to buy this and now it seems to have gone :disappointed: any recommendations for a similar sized TV and price? (49/50 inch). Do u think Argos will run a similar promo again?

Went to pick it up and the guy wanted to charge me £539, showed the email for the price of £439. Collected it without looking at the box. When I got home then checked and its MU 6100. I haven't open the box yet hope it is exactly what it says on the tin.

Same here. Resevered for pickup today. Went in to store and it was back to £539. Showed them my reservation email which had £439 on it. Manager dropped the price down for me. When it came out it was the MU6100 :-). Thry didn't say anything to me about it and I said nothing to them. From what I can see, the MU6100 is £600 cheapest online elsewhere. Thanks original post!

Full spec on the link above. We have put our TV up but not yet used properly. The TV was substituted by Argos when we reserved Samsung UE50KU6000. We went with our reservation to pay and was told we may receive the newer model instead.

From Reliant Direct ask to speak to a guy name Dave, technically it's £1499 on the website. I rang up for the 55KS7000 which is £1049 was told he could do me a better deal. £1350 for 55MU7000 and £200 Tv trade in from Samsung (he told me to keep the TV and just claim after 30days) so work out £1150 after trade in. He will walk you through the purchase over the phone adjusting the price. TV came yesturday. Loving it.

Hi, thanks op. We reserved and went to pick up. We were told that a alternative may be provided and it was. We picked up SAMSUNG UE50MU6100 50".
It appears it's a newer more expensive model sold at Curry's, John Lewis etc so we are happy. Not many reviews but gut feeling is that we are happy.

although ive reserved one earlier reading the comments a little voice is telling me from inside to hold up and maybe wait as better deals might come up soon

Apologies in advance if I'm being stupid but the Argos listing says UHD, is that 4K? I cannot find 4K written on the Argos listing.
Anonknowmouse
7 Jun 17 #55
It's just like '4k upscaling for near 4k quality'. Upscaling by guesstimated extra pixels is the only way to make the image larger, and it adds a bit of noise or blur. Companies bend the truth to sell s**t but there you go.
This SDR TV accepts a HDR signal like my 1080p TV accepts a 4k signal but don't expect HDR to look good. It's still a deal for what it is i guess and I'm poor enough to realize not everyone can spend what their car cost on an electronic magic window.

I reserved one today and when I went to pick it up from Sainsbury's in Slough they told me they had none in stock and so 'upgraded' me to a samsung ue50mu6100 instead - for the same price! Told me it was the next model up. I've brought it home but haven't opened it as they said it can't be returned once switched on. Thought I'd do my research before I got it out it's box. Anyone know whether I've been fobbed off or not?!! Thanks.

I was in the same boat was about to order and most place is out of stock now or with stock from £1049. I went for the MU7000 (2017) for £1350 plus £200 back TV trade in (they never ask for the trade in TV) so work out at £1150 for the MU7000. Everywhere is still £1499.

I think he was correcting 'Lower End' and not arguing with the fact.

Maybe I had a bad one, but this tv has the worst banding I've ever seen. Made it impossible to watch anything light (football especially)
I'm no expert on tvs etc and I'd never even heard of banding......but after 5 mins of owning this tv I researched what it was. Sent it back the next day.
Was a shame as it had a stunning image, but the minute things moved it was terrible.

Edit:- Just noticed this is the 50", I had the 55" don't know if that makes a difference?

I bought one to replace my old Samsung Plasma that was ~10 years old.

Picture quality is fantastic, I find, and the interface is somewhat easy enough to navigate. The only problem I find is that my Fire Stick sometimes doesn't wake up (?) but that is because I have enabled HDMI CEC. Also, the speakers sound significantly weaker than my old TV, but that is because I have wall mounted the TV and the speakers are rear-facing, whereas on my previous it was front facing.

No headphone socket or Bluetooth connectivity :disappointed: Not very good with fast motion images a lot of blur, These also suffer from the judder issue a lot of cheaper 4k tvs do, on the plus side these have a nice bright panel with good colours.

Damn.... I purchased the 43'' version last week £419, (Groupon, £20 cashback) same specs just screen size bigger. This TV make my previous telly look smaller even though this was an inch bigger (slim edges). I would've gone for the 50'' but never mind.
