Voted hot, but I'd pay the extra £20 to get 'almost perfect'. This deal is for 'perfectly fine', which is defined as:
"Perfectly Fine phones have been a bit more loved, but are still working well. They might have superficial scratches on the back, sides and screen but there will be no more than five deep scratches or chips up to 2mm in length. And you'll get a 12 month warranty to put your mind at ease." https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/like-new

Maybe you are selecting the wrong combination for example the colour is OOS, as I just checked on the Pink Gold (Rose Gold) and it's adding to basket fine.

Word of warning, did this deal last item it was posted and the o2 refresh team a so inept. Expect a lot of phone calls whilst they cancel your contract but actually dont.
Got it all sorted but took 3 or 4 phone calls to sort out. From the last thread I wasnt alone in this.

If you make sure they log it as a 14 day cooling off period cancellation you'll be fine. The first one I did took 6/7 phone calls to resolve, my subsequent two, have gone through fine ... when I reminded them I was within my 14 day calling off period.

quick question
Can i cancel the airtime but pay for the device on a monthly basis? Instead of paying the whole lump sum at once?
speric07 to senor_eggnogs
23 Jun 17#12
No, you can only cancel the airtime once the phone has been paid off in full ... or you are within the 14 day cooling off period.
I heard the batteries aren't great after 12 months so wouldn't get 2nd hand

Love O2 Refresh deals, they seem to be quite rare nowadays, remember last year alone got 4 devices. Still in contract with my iPhone so can't get this. The best out of them all was probably iPhone 5s for £96 last April which had 7 months of Apple warranty and is still going strong.

if they really valued these phones, they would offer more than the minimum 12 month warranty.
I wouldnt touch one with a barge pole.

I don't know about Perfectly Fine grade since I have never got anything below Almost Perfect, but Almost Perfect are usually customer returns. All of my devices are still going strong and just sold Galaxy Tab S2 yesterday at a profit a year later.

Can anyone clarify as clearly says 24 month contract even if you pay for device in full, I have even phoned and received the same response that you will be locked in to a contract?
sinxa to shadow1
23 Jun 17#22
Follow the instructions above and you will not be tied into any contracts. Once you pay for the device in full you can cancel the airtime (contract) with immediate effect, the same day you receive the handset. Don't forget to request your unlocking code

If anyone is interested eglobal central have brand new s7 edges for £376.
Eglobal central seem to have a bad rep on hotukdeals, but I bought one of these a few weeks ago and have had no issues at all.

Probably not UK/EU stock, any warranty issues, and you're on your own.
I spent 4 hours on and off to get perfectly fine, Gold no luck so far.
Why don't O2 just take the model out if they do not have the phone in stock!

I am having S7 Edge from O2 refresh close to year now. The phone is about similar price at all time since I got mine. I would strongly suggest look out similar S8 refresh deals.
Not voting either way as this is not a deal! It is regular price on O2 refresh for last one year for same phone.

"They might have superficial scratches on the back, sides and screen but there will be no more than five deep scratches or chips up to 2mm in length." I'm hanging out for an S7, perhaps moreso than an S8, but I still think there are better phones out there for the money than a 1 year old phone that has 5 deep scratches or 2mm chips.

24 Jun 172#37

Please explain how you got a brand new S8 for £497? and why wasted? S8 far better phone than S7, I have both, I bet you have neither.

is that really how you feel?
I'm deciding between the £500ish S8 from amazon.it vs this S7 Edge for £300ish..
I was after S8+ but I think paying over £100 over S8 is not worth it, and then saw this deal.
is it really not worth buying the S8 for £200 more?

Why the hostility? I have the S8 from the amazon.it deal posted a couple of weeks ago... perhaps you missed the sarcasm?

The price was £503 unless you were very lucky with the exchange rate and sarcasm does not work very well on forums because tone is none apparent.

does anyone know which monthly tarrif to click to order the phone
sinxa to qasimabad
25 Jun 17#51
You can choose any tariff as long as it's within the pay for device in full area and the device cost = £297.99 as you will be cancelling the airtime tariff anyway. I always just select the lowest.

I have an S7 and upgraded to the S* after a lot of consideration and I personally am glad I did, a far better phone in my opinion and I'm not a phone geek. My S7 will be going on eBay and I hope to get up to £250 in perfect condition because it's been protected.

6 Jul 171#62
Realistically any mid range phone out right now, at £300 won't come close to the s7 in any aspect, camera, build quality, chipset/speed, audio etc. Have to realise flagship handsets outdo any mid rangers even if they're couple years older.
However personally wouldn't ever buy a used phone. Good price for those who are fine with it.
