Arrrgh... Not now when I decided to keep my Italian s8 :disappointed:
507 for the phone outright + a simo deal ~ 10/month ~748
Or just take this deal with 125 upfront and pay the contract over.
From one hand side the latter option helps to spread the cost over 2 years, and having spent almost a grand in 2 days (bought a desktop and put few hundred in fixing the car), plus no need to get an adapter for charger, on other hand the first option gives more freedom and doesn't tie to a 2 y contract...
Why can it not be any easier choice? :disappointed:

Can you buy this deal without the mobile insurance or would I just have to cancel it after?

the mobile insurance is just an option. it wont be added tp basket till you select it and add it.

I am currently on unl/unl/4gb data for 9.40ish, but by 1 year contract is coming to an end next month, would shop around for something (eg the 600/unl/8gb from 3 12/month + 55 cashback). Sooo undecided what I should do ;/

£507 works out at £21 per month over 24 months.
This deal is £27 over 24 months, so if you can find a call package suitable for your purpose at under £6 a month, stick with sim only, if you can't find a deal and O2 has good coverage in your area, go for this deal.
If you want to upgrade before 24 months, sell the phone.

Hi - how would I get it to £507 for the phone outright ??? a SIM free price takes me to £679
579 EUR -> ~507 pounds using a 0% card like revolut.

15 Jun 17#19
Bear in mind this one has an upfront cost of 125, so 507-125 = 382, so it equals to ~15.92 a month over 24 months, leaving 11ish for a simo. As mentioned above, the italian mobile would be cheaper about 20-40 pounds cheaper in period of 2 years, but its easier to pay the contract rather than fork out 500 quid just like that (I could, but Im not sure I want to, having spent over a grand in last couple of days for a pc and car fixes), so I think I will take the o2 contract. The question now remains - black or orchid gray ?
intime
15 Jun 17#21
Tell you what, buy the orchid gray and report back
Elbandito
15 Jun 17#22
I am really swaying towards it. From one hand, black looks very slick and sexy, I really like it but it gathers fingerprints very easily and it is just too usual (ive mostly had black phones). I'm not a big fan of purple colour but the orchid gray looks very fresh, also quite interesting with color changing depending on the light. I just think it's sick! And also not such a fingerprint magnet. But not sure if purple hue wouldn't put me off in long run... Arghhh hard choice but one that needs to be made :disappointed:
On a side note, I have a magnetic phone car holder and it requires a metal plate between the case and the phone. I really don't want to put that against brand new and shiny s8 but want to keep that magnetic holder as it is just so convenient. Anyone has seen a 2-part case that would allows to Chuck that metal plate inside the actual case so it doesn't touch the phone? Maybe s8 would stick to magnetic holder without the need for a metal plate at all, as s6 edge I had did? Many thanks for help!

I have a Note 4 - bought 18 months ago when Amazon were still selling brand new UK models - I got mine for £300.
Great phone - why on earth would you want an S8 ? After 2+ years you will have to bin it or spend £100 or so to have a new battery fitted.
My Vintage 2013 S4 is still in a pristine condition, rooted and is also still a great phone. The only reason I grabbed a Note 4 was because I realised it would be the last great Android phone with removable battery and ext SD capability.
As long my Note 4 works - I would not change it for anything else.

Just to let people know, the 6GB of data will go down to 3GB after the 24 months. This is due to the fact that the price is actually for 3GB but O2 are doing a double data promotion at the moment and the data allowance gets doubled upon activating the SIM.
Not a massive issue for me as I will just switch to another provider, but I thought I would give everyone a heads up.
