Noticed a big sign outside my Sainsbury's advertising 15% discount between June 7th and 20th on B&Q gift cards. These can normally be used to pay for B&Q online orders as well as on anything in store, regardless of additional B&Q discounts. So pretty good if you have something to buy in there.

No
Either OAP or Trade, you can use these gift cards at Trade. As trade discount alters on everything, sometimes it's the same as retail - the OAP discount could work out best... so you need to double check all the prices really which is not practical.

On a side note i was able to get £5,400 worth of vouchers - took time, but i got them... valid for 5 years and as i have 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens to redo this year... these will get spent and it's saved me £840

I took the OP's posting to mean installation of bathrooms/kitchens. You can't get the OAP discount on that, but yes, you can take away cabinets, bathroom suites etc if you intend fitting them yourself. Sorry for confusion.

Hi.
Any idea if the sainsburys local will stock them? I'm only close to the smaller ones..
Thanks

I had to go to lots of stores, but for me it made sense to do it... I think i went to a total of 11 stores to get them, lucky for me york is small. Only one shop got fussy about selling so many to me as it is officially 4 per customer (not per transaction - they showed their screen to me)...
You have to make the most of these offers when you see them... many thanks to OP for posting it.
Anyone annoyed i got lots from York, i also posted i think the only store left with them in.

That's awesome, thought I was doing well to get £400 each from Wigan and Leigh stores, hopefully Leigh will have another £250 this afternoon then that should be me done :sunglasses:

BTW for anyone who misses out of on offer at 15% off... just remember that at Morrisons you get from memory 6.25% off, but in the form of a 5 pound voucher.
I use the trade counter at B&Q so get a further discount, but have not paid on card / cash at B&Q for years (apart from one when i did not bring enough vouchers). For me morrisons is on the way to B&Q, so i can always pick up vouchers (largest voucher 50 pounds) on the way to B&Q.
I buy all my vouchers with my AMEX card, so i always get an extra bonus:
Sainsburys - Nectar points, AMEX (Avios) points and 15% off
Morrisons - More point and AMEX (Avios) points
Sainsburys have not been doing B&Q vouchers for long... Tesco stopped doing them some time ago, as Sainsburys has now started, hopefully they will start too.

Thanks OP picked up the last £400 from Wigan and £400 from Leigh, £120 saved towards doing the kitchen
And confirmed in B&Q there's no limit on the number of cards that can be used in one transaction

Yes. Gift cards are like paying cash. Put the order in and just pay by gift cards. No limit on amount you purchase with.

same as, but then the order was cancelled as the system was incorrect and they've no stock. apparently got to wait for them to reimburse me by sending me a cheque as they have no means to reimburse a gift card!

Can you apply multiple gift cards in a single order as i'm looking to buy a garden furniture that would cost around £400

The small Sainburys local shops seems to have more than the big stores...
If you live in York, i would save your time and not go and look - I have been around most shops, not many left... Beckfield lane has around 400 pounds left of them...

Not true, I bought one last week and used it online. It does say on the back that it cannot be used online but I used it for a click and collect order with no issues

That I don't know - the vouchers I can buy are e-vouchers, which can be spent instore or online - and have a standard 16 digit (or whatever) number on the front. I used two at £250 each towards a bathroom tile order.

I'm able to buy discounted vouchers through a work scheme, and managed to use two in a single order online plus a credit card.

10% OAP discount can be used against kitchen bathroom and bedroom products bought in store for take away. Restriction still applies to household appliances, online purchases, including Click & Collect, and items ordered for delivery. Taken from b&q website

I believe the 'oap' discount doesn't apply to bathrooms and kitchens, or so I was told by a member of staff on Tuesday

As stated in the title this can be combined with other discounts... so if you're spending any serious money there it's worth combining this with the 10% OAP discount on Wednesdays to get 23.5% off anything
