Worst kettle I ever purchased. Lid sometimes falls off when pouring. Automatic switch off when boiled only works sometimes otherwise boils dry. Also seems to switch off late when it does switch off during boiling. Avoid this product.

I had one of these and the flimsy planned obscellence switch broke. Luckily a few weeks before tge guarentee. Avoid. I bought a Bosch instead.

I have the baby version of this and it's great. No metallic taste... in fact I've had worse tasting boiled water from plastic kettles. I agree with an earlier comment saying to get rid of the red water indicator. That done and it's fine. It's worth the £17.99.

Avoid,returned ours,tried numerous times to get rid of mettallic tasting water.according to argos staff they'd had a few returned.

Had this and had to take it back as it kept leaking at the bottom had it a week so swapped for a breville also the polished look on the breville was a nicer brew I..... mean view! sorry people my jokes are bad.

I've owned quite a lot of Russell Hobbs products in the past. one thing I've noticed they don't tend to last long... microwave, kettle, blender all been replaced after around 18 months.

Unclip and throw away the red water level indicator and you then have an all metal boiling chamber - great if you don't like nasty chemicals leaching into your brew.

Boils water: yes. Makes a hellofa racket doing it: definitely. Easily the noisiest kettle I refused to own.
