Set within a sinister plantation mansion in modern day rural America and taking place after the dramatic events of Resident Evil 6, players experience the terror directly from the first person perspective for the first time in the Resident Evil series. Embodying the iconic gameplay elements of exploration and tense atmosphere that first coined “survival horror” some twenty years ago, Resident Evil 7 biohazard delivers a disturbingly realistic experience that will define the next era in horror entertainment.

That plastic wrapper does mean Capcom are getting a slice of the money, means a lot to me, especially with a game like Resi 7 which could quite easily have never seen the light of day.

It's worth every penny where it is in my opinion guys (£29.99 new and this price). I paid £44 and I don't regret it. I moved it on for around £33 just after launch.
Get it bought, get it played through (around 9/10 hours) and get it sold on the bay. Heated pavel

You like plastic wrappers that much? Trust me, this will be brand new minus the plastic for less than your budget.
Heat added, but I'm gonna hold off while my backlog shrinks a little more or I get a PSVR.

Good to know your thoughts. I've just got the pro and VR bundle with a few games today.... so have a small backlog. Stubbornly sticking to the above price. But appreciate this game is worth much more. Wanted it on day one, but waited until I got the VR. Wanted it to be extra scary if possible. Although to be fair, I'd probably play it in 2D a while.

I don't know why people always wait till a game gets cheaper. By that time the sell on value is **** poor. I guess if you plan on keeping the game forever it makes sense. Got this on release date then traded it in three weeks later at no lost.
Great game through I felt the last section of the game was poor.

I couldn't agree more. Loved the game whilst wandering around the house but the last section wasn't as enjoyable.

I often feel the same, about making sure the developer gets rewarded and they make more games. But if it's only EA, I don't care!

I would have thought that retailers such as Amazon purchase the games in bulk, so Capcom got their money whether you buy or not

Couldn't help myself, even with a ridiculous backlog still had to go for it. Thanks

How do people feel about this game? I loved 4.... 5 was OK.....6 I gave up on. I wasnt a huge fan of the demo of 7. I found it too much like Outlast which I really didnt enjoy at all. I am hoping this is good old fashioned survival horror with modern gameplay mechanics.

Oh no, don't compare it to Outlast. I played 30 mins of that game, screamed out loud at 11:30pm, and haven't loaded it up since. But I *really* want RE7.

RE7 is similar in the sense that it is a first person POV survival horror game but you can defend yourself on RE7 which takes away the fear IMO.
