Waterproof to a point. If water goes over the top your feet will get wet, Better off getting sealskinz socks for dryer feet.

GORETEX is a fully waterproof and breathable membrane. I wouldn't go diving in them but they should withstand heavy downpours

I ordered two different sizes just to gauge the fitting. However while one of them fitted extremely well, the shoes just felt excruciatingly cheap to the point where they feel the same if not even worse as chinese made bootleg so i sent both of them back for a refund.
Not worth £38. If they were £25 though, they'd be an absolute steal.

Breathable is a subjective term...

Would people recommend these shoes for Hill walking? I've recently had surgery so cannot go to the gym or go cycling, but I want to keep fit and active by doing lots of walking over the summer months. If there are any other shoes/boots/trainers that people would recommend I'm more than happy to consider them too :-) Thanks

Used them for hill walking - very good grip, and during -20C temperatures abroad, 2-3 hours outside while walking on snow pathes, without noticing any discomfort . Sole wears out to quickly. I would rate them 4 out of 5.

Tempting. My current trail runners got brutalised at Tough Mudder, I think it's the end for them :disappointed:

My Adidas Kanadia have lasted two Tough Mudders and an X-Runner - pop them in the washer and they're good as new. Think I only paid £35 for them and would certainly buy again.
I've tried to order an 11.5 but it says Only 1 in Stock. What am I supposed to do, hop everywhere?

If sizing is anything like Adidas they'll come up small. I normally take a 10 to 10.5 but an 11.5 in adidas.

Thank you everyone for the input! Very useful and will probably give it a go at this price.

Good price. But it's classed as a "Walking Shoe", not a "Trail Shoe". (A Trail shoe is designed for trail running).

Would this be water resistant/proof? I know it doesn't say it is but not sure on the qualities of the material.

I bought some Franconia Ridge 2 GTX trainers in the New Year and while they are more waterproof than standard trainers, they are not fully waterproof in my experience. Go walking in long wet grass and the water does get in eventually.
However, still very happy with them - they are comfortable, seem more sturdy than a standard trainer and are more breathable.

Bought one pair of Reeboks, wouldn't buy a second. I understand they've been taken over by another of the bigboys - Adidas I think, so quality should improve

these are very small fittings. I am a size 8-8.5 and an 8 wouldnt go anywhere near me, felt like a tight 7. thought it might have been US sizes but said UK size on box
