Ok price.
29cc 2 strokes do struggle with thick weed. For general man at home they are perfect.
I generally have to rev the boobs off my 29cc but with 47cc it cuts no problem but is heavy to use.
Electricity is for pansies. Go petrol and have it done about 10 times faster.

I too bought an SGS strimmer and brushcutter http://www.sgs-engineering.com/garden-tools/strimmers/sst520-52cc-petrol-strimmer with a two year guarantee and free next day delivery. The 52cc version is very powerful and bearing in mind you get the brushcutter attachment as well for less than the cost of the Qualcast strimmer I would heartily recommend it above this deal

Had to take our Qualcast strimmer back couple of weeks ago - had it just inside the 2yr period and came to use it and found that all the fuel piping had disintegrated - it had only been used 3 times max for around total of 3-4hrs.
Good tool, but the auto feed for the cutting line is poor - and i found the line snapping very easily - replaced with a thicker line, but still spent a lot of the above 3-4 hours messing around refeeding the line back through holes.
Swapped it for the Challenge 25cc strimmer instead - yet to use this one

It looks like a blue version of the ParkerBrand I got recently, though I paid a bit more. These are both much more heavy duty than the Qualcast of course and much better value in my experience.

Thanks guys. Now I have a strimmer on the way. Had no intention of that when I woke up this morning haha.
The brush cutter will come in super handy.

thanks for the recommendation guys - I've been looking at their brush cutter / hedge trimmer / chainsaw on a pole effort for a bit, and this has been enough to convince me SGS are the company to buy one from.

I bought a hedgecutter on a pole a while back. Completely useless, so beware.
