Better with no dlc; players get segregated based on what dlc they have; and the biggest groups are people with none; and people with everything.
If you only have dlc pack 1; you only get matched with other people who only have dlc pack 1; which means you won't get matched as much.

Given that I am really not a fan of the DLC maps on that game, I'd recommend just getting the basic version.
Unlike BF1, the BF4 DLC maps were pretty lacklustre tbh. The base game is worth 4 quid without a shadow of a doubt though.

Yeah, the way that Destiny DLC was handled was pretty shocking tbh. 2 years worth of DLC that would lock out parts of the game that you had already paid for if you chose not to pay to upgrade.

Metro is the greatest map BF4 has. China Rising was decent, Second Assault had some of the best maps of the entire game, and from then on it was a bit lackluster. Depending on price, it's worth it for Second Assault alone, but I agree on PS4, it's sometimes hard to find full servers

My main account can use all the content.
The only consideration is that DLC needs to be bought from the same region you bought the game.

The only one I'll bother with is Steamworld Heist which is supposed to be brilliant. When you factor in playing the PS4 through it on Remote Play, my Vita gets used pretty much daily.

Although they look similar, SWD & SWH are very different games.
SWD is a mining platformer, SWH is a turn-based strategy.

I've never really paid any attention at a vita tbh. But when you mentioned remote play you have me even more interested. Watched a few videos on YouTube with people showing remote play and I was impressed. Horizon Zero Dawn / BF1 / GTA / Metal Gear are just a few titles I was able to see running on the console...Its on my radar now and I will be looking to pick one up. Thanks :wink:

Sony don't give it any love these days, but it still has a wealth of quality games that'll keep you busy for a long time. My only suggestion is to shop about for a 32/64GB memory card - they can be ridiculously expensive, but you can get lucky on ebay if you keep an eye out.

'The Fall' at £2.50 is excellent. Won a GOTY award on Giantbomb IIRC back in 2014/15. 'Submerged' is a decent one too, it's a puzzle-y adventure game thing, like 'Ico' or 'Rime' more recently. Really big discounts on them, they're both in "rude not to" territory if you've not got them already.

Sadly Sony hardly care about ps2 classics either, hiding them from psn and hardly releasing anything! I doubt it! The saddest thing is Xbox one has streets of rage trilogy and it's online, we only have sor2 only available on PS3. Such a shame best co op series imo especially with online co op! :disappointed:

I played the free prologue of hitman and then immediately bought all season 1 on sale. Real good. Seems to be a shed load of replayability with mission challenges and so on. Looks absolutely incredible too (og ps4). Recommended.

Watch some Youtube videos, to be honest they put me off buying it for PS4 unless I get it on sale from the US marketplace. The UK release is made from the PAL 50Hz original version, whereas the US release is made from the NTSC 60Hz original. There are frame issues in both but less pronounced in the US release.

When setting up the US PSN account, do you use PS Plus membership on the US account or the UK one. Or does it work for both?

You only need 1 PS Plus sub per console to play online but you only get discounts & freebies from the region that your sub is in, on the account that your sub is for.
You can have as many accounts as you like use your PS4 as primary so any purchases made from other regions will work for any account on the console.

There's tutorials all over the place - Turk's holds up but you might want to find a more recent one for questions.
You can get a 2-day PS Plus trial by enabling Auto-upload in your PS4's storage settings but the 14-day trials need a card from that country adding to the account.
PSN doesn't work like XBL / Origin and does not discount for poorer countries - the main reason people shop around is that US / Canada sales are often better than EU ones.
Another reason is to get region-restricted (or nerfed - GTA3 @ 50Hz for instance) content.
Logic would dictate that the origin of your account shouldn't affect which lobbies you go into (IP subnet & ping would be sensible dividers) but I can't say 100% confidnece that no game has bad lobby logic.

Anyone know if there's going to be a USA/Canadian store sale? Thanks to Buzz I've manged to rack up quite a few dollars in both of my accounts, would be nice to spend them now.

If you only have dlc pack 1; you only get matched with other people who only have dlc pack 1; which means you won't get matched as much.
Where there's 2 prices, the 2nd price is the PS Plus price.
Now its £3.99 on PSN….

Despite the value of the extra maps, you might struggle to find a game.
Unlike BF1, the BF4 DLC maps were pretty lacklustre tbh. The base game is worth 4 quid without a shadow of a doubt though.
When they actually push out a decent game (no THPS5, I'm not talking about you), they cynically ruin it with paywalls & time-framed validity.

The only consideration is that DLC needs to be bought from the same region you bought the game.
Anyone who doesn't pick that up for £2.49 needs their head looking at.

SWD is a mining platformer, SWH is a turn-based strategy.
Both are great but it's worth noting what each are, in case a certain genre is not for you.

its really crap that ps3 games can't converted to the ps4

I have just bought a PS4 and was looking to set this up.
You can have as many accounts as you like use your PS4 as primary so any purchases made from other regions will work for any account on the console.
So is it best to use the sub on US or UK? Does it not localise for game matching/servers?
I use other stores for my Xbox account and never found the US to be that much cheaper. Usually Brazil or somewhere instead.
Can you use a trial sub on the US one (to buy games in the sale) and a 1 year on the UK one?

You can get a 2-day PS Plus trial by enabling Auto-upload in your PS4's storage settings but the 14-day trials need a card from that country adding to the account.
PSN doesn't work like XBL / Origin and does not discount for poorer countries - the main reason people shop around is that US / Canada sales are often better than EU ones.
Another reason is to get region-restricted (or nerfed - GTA3 @ 50Hz for instance) content.
Logic would dictate that the origin of your account shouldn't affect which lobbies you go into (IP subnet & ping would be sensible dividers) but I can't say 100% confidnece that no game has bad lobby logic.
