Is "standalone expansion" going to be the new way to sell DLC? Perhaps they don't like GOTY editions, because when you know they are coming later, you don't buy the normal game.

That very much depends on your play style. Choosing stealth significantly increased my playthrough compared to chaos.

Still not finished dishonoured 2 or started one but of what little I've played so far on PS4.. really liked it  if only time would stop for a year or two so I can make my way through this pile of shame!

It's only about 9-10 hours max.

If it means 10 hours of solid content for an appropriate price then I sure hope so!
This would also be the old way of selling DLC...before DLC was a thing

Spot on. This is the price Uncharted Lost Legacy should be though, although I am still looking forward to that!

So is this the full game? Why so cheap?

It's not quite a full game, something along the lines of Wolfenstein Old Blood or Uncharted Lost Legacy. Like an expansion back rather than a DLC pack I guess.

Uncharted comes with Jak and Dexter too. hence the price

That's just a pre-order bonus, rather than a driver for the price.

Now that would be an interesting retelling of the original game.

hang on what???? what a nonsense move from the developer. Giving half the game and keeping half back to sell on as an extra?
Also the character they have based it on was annoying and boring in dishonoured 2. I was really really hoping she'd take an exploding arrow to the side of her head.

I highly doubt that was the situation with this content, what sense would it make to have a stand-alone mission-chain about Billy in the main game from the start? Let alone decide to take it and ship it separately 7 months down the line

You must be new to gaming, expansions like this have been around for decades.

It's effectively a new game, not part of the original - which was very fully-featured as it was. Sequels (or prequels) aren't exactly an unusual concept.
Bear in mind that the pre-order bonus with Uncharted is only for the original game, not any of the sequels.

I second this, and that's why I won't even bother to order this. Maybe watch it on twitch and I'm not even sure.

I tried the stealthy route but it always turned into carnage.

Jak and daxter? Remake?

The PS2 trilogy on PS4. Not remakes, just ports with trophy support.

1 2 3 and Jax X Racing (with added co op) rendered in 1080p with trophy support. pretty good if you ask me

Surely this is a prequel?

£16.85 at Base...
Come on £15 deal
Ps. I hope this 'standalone expansion' thing actually means we get decent DLC and not devs squeezing more money from us, simply by putting things on a disc...

I knew that. But they are making out it is a pre-order bonus, yet factoring the cost of buying a bonus into the overall price?
Illusionary
13 Jun 17#24
No, they're not factoring it in to the overall price. There will be a lot of factors determining the RRP of the two games, including development costs, the fact that Uncharted is probably a 'bigger name' than Dishonored, etc.
Spidersmudge

No way this should be £25, when you look at the cost of the Witcher 3 expansions. Under a £20 price mark would be fine, for what will be around 8 hours according to rumours. £25 is too high, but it looks so good I'll be buying it at that anyway, and selling it once finished.
