I'm sure I paid £14.99 for the white lights from argos and then with the 'spend £50 get a free £10 voucher' thing it worked out cheaper if you want the white lights.
However, this starter kit is a bargain if you want the coloured lights.

Great price OP.
I can't personally see the point in the paying more for the coloured bulbs as I wouldn't want anything other than the white - yellow hues, but each to their own and if this is what you're after it's a great price.
I was irritated by the starter kit I bought as the bulbs were screw and I had no large screw light fittings in my house! All were either bayonet or small screw. So this is a much more useful starter set imo.

Considering the white ambience bulbs alone cost £25 each, and the motion sensor £35, 3x £25 + £35 = £110, and considering you can flog the bridge for £20 on ebay, this still works out cheaper.

That's because they just had to reach for the light switch.

Wahoo! Been waiting for these to go on offer again. I can fin at finish my house, I currently have 5 of these bulbs plus a couple of the table lamps. Get the dimmer switches when they are on offer to supplement your existing switches. Also they appear on your swipe up menu on iPhones so useful.

During the night people usually vote cold then in the morning they tend to go blazing hot, my past 2 deals have been over 800 heat but they both started cold.

Because it's £120 for three lightbulbs for people too lazy to use light switches / dimmer switches, in the height of summer when there's 17 hours of daylight?

I see it is another link. Maybe that why deal isn't going hot as people think the e27 isn't on offer because the deal link doesn't show it, this thinking the deal isn't what it says it is.

I also reposted this deal after the other had been removed so sorry about that.
For some reason this did not come up on my deal alerts or in search when using the iPad app. I wonder if that is because it was cold?
Mine should be deleted now.

Yeah it definitely should. I was buying anyway but that motion sensor was a bonus, even if I sell it on.

Not sure why this is only on 13 heat. Best price they've been in the UK (Bulbs have dropped to US$45 permenantly in the USA now so maybe another price drop due here soon). I bought the starter kit a few months back at this price, with a free sensor it's a no brainer.
It's getting to be an expensive hobby though but at least we can all wait for them to go on sale before buying more bulbs, at full price they are a bit much.

Is it possible to buy multiple starter kits and connect all the bulbs to one bridge?
pc390 to Faye_T
17 Jun 17#23
Yep, TBH it's robably the cheapest way compared to buying separate bulbs.
We have about thirty bulbs in the house all working off he safe Bridge. I just bought multiple starter kits and sold the spare bridges on eBay (They go for around £32 ish).

Still can't believe this isn't hot. The last starter kit was top 5 off the day,, if not the top, this deal is better IMO

Thanks for this! Thinking of buying the colour bulbs for my daughters room with the strip light.. can anyone tell me if I should buy a white/glass lampshade for them or will it be better just leaving a bare bulb...
helpoi to karene28
17 Jun 171#19
a bare bulb will give the most vivid colour but a lampshade can add a cool effect of light scattering I'd say try them bare and see wat she thinks

I bought the cheaper white ones purely for the dimming functionality for my ambient lighting (ie the lamps etc).
I often get headaches if the sitting room lights are too bright, or not bright enough if the tv is on, so the hue bulbs have been really brilliant as I can set them to a warm yellow light at a low level without having to faff with any electrics. Then if we want to play cards or whatever I can whack the light up and enjoy decent lighting for that.
It's so simple to set up.
I've recently bought some of the white ones for my bedroom bedside table lamps so I can dim them before I sleep, or make them brighter for reading a book etc.
I would like to get a motion sensor and a light for the bathroom so I don't trip over the dogs in the night!

What's the difference between these and a normal light bulb that you switch on when you are there?
Does it just switch the light on when you aren't there? Please let me know the advantage of these over normal bulbs....
