Why does it take one supermarket to drop their prices before the others show initiative?

Is it only me that sees it's mostly ASDA that drop first then others follow suit?

I was deliberately not filling up for a few weeks as it was too expensive

now it has gone down a penny, I will fill up again

plus I can stop taking taxis everywhere, which is a bonus

I still can't understand why folk vote hot on petrol price reductions.

Morrisons has reduced its petrol by 1p at the two garages near me

Any word on diesel prices. Hopefully a drop also. Might not sound much but when doing over 1000 miles a week it certainly helps the wallet.

every time I top up from asda my car ends up in the garage not touching that stuff again

ultra reliable cars those were, had one and was superb,

I've only had three cars and never washed or polished any of them.

I lavish my care on my collection of bikes and motorbikes, including my 1977 Honda 400F which also seems to do OK on Asda petrol.

My current car is a Fiat Panda and did 65 mpg using Asda on a run over to see my mum last weekend.

why didn't you polish it etc?

my 1996 Toyota is as good as new in terms of bodywork

My 1997 Ford Fiesta lasted until 2014 and drank Asda petrol for its entire life apart from when I filled up on trips far away from home.

The car was only scrapped because the bodywork rusted away while the engine was totally reliable and required nothing but routine maintenance from day one to the very last trip to the scrapyard to collect my £150.

unfortunatly with shareholders, they can sue a company if they are not doing everything in there power to make more money

there obliged too

drive 10 miles to save 2£ :P, however silly if we all did do this even if broke even with petrol to save that 2£ the other gas places would lose sales and would have to start being more competitive, so i understand it from that point :P :smile:

Will never happen as we all have our local garage for convenience and service areas will always get their trade. Best thing we can do is stop buyi g things from in the shop as thats where they coin it in.

Shells petty feels better than sainsburys or morrisons, so ive started using them recently

so they get away charging more and making shareholders happy. Boycott them and if enough of us do that they will hopefully get the message!

BP (normally the most expensive) now cheaper than Asda & Sainsburies by a penny.

Asda are always the cheapest in my area.
