I bought this a few weeks ago... and it isn't nearly as bad as people are claiming. Once you work out how to do it, you can inflate with zero wind and standing still. You need to raise and lower it on the spot... takes 2 mins when you have worked it out!

Fully agree sat with a beer in my hand camping last year whilst a chap tried for 30 minutes to get it inflated by wafting in the air only to be left a deflated ego, one hell of a sweat on and a half inflated lounger.
No for me

I got one off a lookylooky man in Thailand. Works easy. Helps if there's a light breeze. But had no issues.

I got one off a lookylooky man in Thailand. I had no issues with it. Inflated quite easily. Granted a light breeze helps. But seriously had no issues with it. Even managed to use it as a lilo without sinking or sailing off to Hong Kong.

On a still summer day with no wind, you must look like a loon running around with a big bag!

It really is easy. Just need to scoop the air in and close, then scoop again. No running required.

Can you fasten it around your waist, then eat lots of beans?

There is a knack to this. Once you've cracked its a piece of p**s. I have two for holiday on the beach, they take about 30 seconds to inflate, don't need any wind as don't get any on a beach in Mallorca. for that price they're worth a go. But watch the video first, as shows how to do it.
Is there no other way to get air into it using a pump etc?

We have a blow fan for an inflatable water slide, that works to get air into it (because it's shifting a lot of air) but as others have said, on a still day it's almost impossible to get air into it.
Go for a drive and hang it out of the window?

Bit it says you don't have to Inflate it, you just blow it in the wind(see video) looks a good bargain!

Getting it inflated is easy, I got the home bargains one last year and love it. You don't need to get it fully inflated before the roll, just to about 50%. Once rolled it is about 6'5 and fully inflated. The problem is the cheap stitching on the clasps, have had to sow them back on three times. I was still using it yesterday though, I love it.

the concept is basically a large bag with a very large opening (basically a large carrier bag made of polyester or some waterproof material). You hold the large opening and run around to get as much air in and then quickly try and roll up the open end.
The open end does have a hard bit that supposedly helps seal the air in.
Check out youtube for inflatable lounger ... but take the professionally produced videos with a pinch of salt.

I have one of these... and my take is that it is a load of baloney!
After running around several times to get fair amount of air and then trying to roll one side up really quickly, you can sort of make it work but then it starts leaking air.
If you can afford to spend £11 to have a bit of laugh and fulfil your inner child, go for it.... But in reality I dont think you will use it for more than a couple of times so your £11 will be wasted and you will have one more thing hoarded in your shed / under the stairs.

They're not that hard to inflate - you just have to run.
You do look like a loony though!
As t4 says if there's less air in it you just roll it up more until it's firm.

I have a variant of this and they are actually quite comfortable once you get them blown up (pain in the **** if there's no wind). There is no way you can get it as inflated as the picture. You have to roll it up quite a bit to make sure it's actually comfortable to sit on and reasonably inflated, making it much shorter than is shown.
