Worth noting that cycling is now included in the watch settings.
And whilst for GPS they now only claim 30 hours, for so called regular use, they do claim 7 days battery.

Very tempted, but the recent price drops for this and the xiaomi mi band 2, makes me feel like something else new from the group is just around the corner...

This may seem like a stupid question but will this track your running distance and speed without having to take your phone with you?
bigbadlynx to MisterMadHatter
7 Jun 171#10
yes it will. also it has some spare free memory (bit more than 3GB) so you can pair your BlueTooth headphones with it.
worth noting it's splash proof but you can't swim with it. overall great watch for fraction of price what Sunnto has to offer. not as good obviously but still very good

Seems like a good buy, but ask yourself if you want a GPS watch or a smartwatch.
Anyone know if you can load workouts into these that will alert you when you are running too fast/slow and when the next step of a workout is about to start?

Used to think they were a dodgy Chinese company but the MiBand 2 has proved me wrong.
Really like it. Their refund/exchange policy seems pretty decent aswell.

Is "descent" a brand or is it a watch specifically for cavers? Or climbers who only go down the mountain?

They are a top brand, so good in fact that the western media prefer to keep quiet about their discount products.

I've had mine over a month now and think its great.
Best thing for me is I can leave my mobile in the locker and use the blue tooth music player built in to the watch while in the gym, or on a run. You have about 2GB worth of on board memory to load up.
30 hrs use if you have the GPS and HR monitor running constantly, but that's not normal use. I get around five days.
Also, use it to wake me up in the morning now, saves waking others up with a noisy alarm.

The phone only changed it because you misspelt it lol it would not randomly change one word "decent" for another "descent". You probably typed it "desent", as autocorrect DOES change that to "descent".
Either way, "desent" and "descent" are both wrong. Don't blame your phone lol

That old chestnut showing how pathetic a person you really are how sad ocd and pathetic. I live in Surrey we don't get deals and I don't use the internet much so don't find anything that's not already posted. Let me check HotUKDeals I must post a deal or someone points it out that they are better than you because they have, get to bed it's late and you have school tomorrow.
