A lot of watch for the money, not for everyone I know, but a well built and well known brand. Planet ocean is the king of omega watches.
Model is 232.32.46.21.01.003
Save £1240 on rrp
The cheapest seamaster 300m now retail at £2900, making this a bargain for its big brother.
It was with OMEGA’s maritime legacy in mind that the brand launched its Planet Ocean line in 2005. The stylish OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M pays homage to OMEGA’s dive watch heritage.
This model, with its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, features a black dial with a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The black ceramic unidirectional rotating divers’ bezel is mounted on a 45.5 mm stainless steel case on a black rubber strap.
The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M is water resistant to 600 metres / 2000 feet / 60 bar, and has a helium-escape valve. The OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8500 at the heart of this certified chronometer timepiece can be seen through the transparent caseback.

Yes, I know (and have never understood why anyone bus wa quartz Omega or even Tag), but this one is an automatic. So my point was buying a Swatch is not really an alternative, as suggested by anewman.
Quartz typically means battery operated. Omega have/had battery operated quartz models in addition to the much more popular automatic movements.

Goldsmiths also have some Omega's on sale.
Might be also be worth checking the used market, because a well known YouTuber is claiming Omega has over supplied the market. Which he claims has affected both new and used prices.

Buy a Swatch instead. Same ETA movement.

12 Jun 171#52
The 8500 is designed in house and assembled in house by Omega. ETA are involved in parts of it's fabrication, but this movement is very much "Omega's signature". The ETA thing applies to a lot of high end watches, but not this one.

it's a cracking saving on a respectable brand, but if you are thinking of buying a Planet Ocean you need to look at the original one with the 2500 movement. An absolute classic - don't know what Omega were smoking when they decided to make the PO line all look like Tag Aquaracers

Of course, it's a no better watch than a Citizen or Seiko ... but it's got a 'name' or a 'badge' so can carry off a big price tag.
And, because of that, it will be worth money well into the future .... and, as long as the hype lasts, it makes a greart investment.
If it falls out of favour, you will lose a whole lot of money, however.
