I've had these for 3 years now, and have been brilliant all this time. Only fault is the paint fades/rubs off, so keep them clean! I'm talking after years of use that is.

Had two of these toasters, first one lasted about 3 years, second one still going strong 3+ years. With the first one, one side of the toaster went about 6 months before the other, so turned it onto a two slice toaster for a while. I don't find it any slower than any other toaster- sounds like the poster above could have a faulty one.
Kettle (bought with first toaster) still good after 6 years.

I must be the luckiest person on this thread, my 4 slice red toaster clearly was not made on a Friday.
After 'A **very** long time' still going strong, bought from Bob Dyas. As I recall **some** Tesco stores had it on offer, but 'surprise, surprise' not the one near me. Bob Dyas Website list very similair price, so I called in, yes the offer price was good. All they had to very kindly do was, at no further cost get me one from another branch.

I have this and kettle in cream when we move house, the toaster lasted 6 months and the kettle 10 months.

Performance of these is terrible.
Takes an age to even slightly brown the toast.
Just sits on our counter looking pretty whilst we pull out a cheap Tesco brand from the cupboard which works brilliantly.

Brilliant, thanks OP. I went for the pair in cream, been on the lookout for a set like this for ages but usually around £60 so chuffed with this.
