The auction states, 'The S47124 houses a powerful Li-ion battery with a long recording time.'
"What type of meat is it?"......"Good meat!".

Both links lead to same page and model number. Both state 5mp and 3mp.
Doesn't matter...if you want a cheap action cam thismight do the trick.

Just read the resolution 2592 x 1944 pixels = just over 5mp

5mp for pictures, 3mp for movies (60fps for 720p, 30fps for 1080p).

Wow seems a good price.
Really want 1 with a screen to see what i'm recording though.
Anybody got a link to similar but with a screen? Obviously know it'll be more money but would like any recommendations please.
Cheers.
For recommendations on one with a screen on a camera? No.

I'm currently vanishing down the rabbit hole of researching these things. Have a search for Elephonne or MGCOOL explorer cams. There are some that appear in Amazon lightning deals from time to time. If you Google 'El producente' you'll find a guy who reviews a lot of these cams. He links to deals from the reviews.

That should say 'Elephone'

Just a word of caution when looking at seemingly "innocent" reviews on cheap cameras : Beware ; many up and coming companies offer a free gift to anyone who gives them a good rating, you only find this out when purchased in the paperwork that comes with them.

Does anyone have any idea on the battery life of this? Or if the battery is user replaceable?

The WiFi bit about these...does it mean I can control it from a mobile phone that can connect to the internet? Not using 3G stuff?

It connects to WiFi. So, if your mobile can act as a WiFi hotspot I suppose you can connect the camera to your mobile that way. There is no viewing screen on the back, but I believe there is a small menu screen on top, which must include connection option, eg network password.

I bought a similar ALDI camera before and it was pretty bad. These are probably great for basic footage out and about but will never compare to Gopro quality which if course you wouldn't expect for the price. These would be great for kids where it wouldn't be a huge deal if it got damaged.
I took mine skiing at just got a white scene with a bit of the edges coming through.

Thanks but I have no idea if my mobile can act as a wifi hotspot. My first GOOG got this from PCMag
"Almost any modern smartphone can also work as a Wi-Fi hotspot, sharing its 4G LTE connection to anywhere from five to 10 devices, whether they be laptops, tablets, or other phones. You just have to have the right service plan and tap a few buttons".
So looks like it is 4G :disappointed: I have a PAYG phone and only use about £20 a year. Not any fast network stuff I don't think.

I've just received one from Tomtop which was in here a few weeks ago.
When you register on the site they give you 200 points which you can use agains any purchases.
I only ended up paying $25.79 (just over £20)
It's 4k & has a 2" screen.
The camera works as a hotspot, not your phone. The camera presents a wifi network that your phone can join to transfer data wirelessly or to view what the camera is seeing in real time. Your phone will remain connected to 3G/4G during this but obviously not any other wifi network
OK so your saying the 3G/4G is something different than the wifi connection that will be between the camera and mobile (android) phone? Basically, I wouldn't be paying (with my PAYG) for the data between the Action Cam and Mobile Phone? Yes I know nothing much about these things.

The SJ300 camera is a good camera with a rear screen....Google it for details. A rip off of the Go Pro. ...had it two years without any issues....
