Tbh these are fairly tat. I'm surprised quality companies like Makita and Dewalt put their names to these. Probably ok for the average DIYer though.

Yeah dont imagine ill be building a new kitchen or doing stage 1 house contruction with them but for hanging paintings, speeding up ikea contruction and putting up shelves they should be all good surely?

ok for DIY but nothing great.
I now favour Dewalt's Extreme 2 masonry bits and am just ordering their extreme 2 metal bits, not cheap but money well spent and makes drilling a joy.

101 piece set is £19.99 at Screwfix, so not convinced this is that mega a deal. Especially as it sounds like Makita accessories don't stand up to the quality of their tools. I was burned by a similar "De Walt" set, that can also be found with various other - or no - branding. Individual De Walt drills are superb quality, but beware of the sets.

Agreed, both the c.£20 DeWalt and Makita sets are typically considered to be well below the quality expected of both brands (perhaps they are perhaps worth the money for light DIY use, but certainly do not represent anything above average value IMO).

Is this now OOS? Literally bought my first drill on Saturday and need all the bits now.
Got to the checkout twice to then have it fail and be removed from my basket.
Edit: seems they just don't like PayPal via a phone.

Why oh why do they have to keep putting screwdriver bits in these sets? don't they realise that everyone must have all the screwdrivers they will ever need ( I suppose it's just to make the numbers up because they are so cheap to produce )

is it actually made by Makita? Or a generic factory in the east with a Makita sticker on?
The days of automatically trusting a tool brand is over IMO. Have to judge each product individually.

But are these actually Makita? I bought a similar set a while back and some of the bits are like cheese.
