These are briliant! B&Q have changed the bar code but the product is the same, there are some of these left in the shops for click and collect, or just to pick up.
I got 2 of them from the store in Washington and there was still about 6 left. So, check online if you can click and collect in your local store as checking stock doesn't seem to work but it does find them if you try and order. Still £65+ elsewhere.
Acoording to the reviews charges in a hour, and runs for an hour.

Very Happy with mine - it was cheaper than buying the replacement battery - head over to Screwfix for replacement battery and you will get a brand new hedge trimmer to go with it!

so, while this price is gone, Screwfix now have these on offer at 49.99, which is nearly 30 cheaper than B&Q
just want to point out that the clearance went live early by accident and there is a high chance they will not be in stock.

Do you work there or something? You post the same thing on every B&Q post that I've seen.

The Washington store had one remaining 'no brand' ni-cad trimmer for the bargain price of £13, but the pack was open and I thought better of it. Over on the clearance section they had a huge Mac Allister petrol trimmer down to £70, but I didn't think that I was man enough to handle it  I also checked the Durham store and there were none there either. Good find though Lotus.

Bad luck - It's a great little bit of kit :disappointed:

Well, this is cheaper and apparently the worx wg259e takes 3 hours to charge but looks like a good alternative for that price from the reviews on Amazon if you can't get this one at 33 quid. This McAllister is a very decent hedge cutter, at least based on a days use anyway.

How does this compare to worx wg259e 20v At Argos for £66.66 with 33% off plus 7% quidco?

Just nabbed one - looks like a bit of a bargain, judging by reviews. Thanks OP

Was a proper mission getting this from Wandsworth today. First, they gave me the wrong one, then I returned it and they couldn't find one with a barcode to match the order. They had a load at £65 on the shelf of the same make, spec etc...In the end they agreed to refund me and let me purchase the £65 one for £33.

My original store rang to say they were out of stock but they found me one in another store so all good.
Just a word of caution - check the contents before you leave as I did.
The package looked like it had been opened - and it had - the battery was missing
Fortunately they were able to swap for a new one

These are quite good - I have two as well (they were on offer and the whole unit was cheaper than a spare battery)... as someone else states they are no good on thick branches, but I have a beech hedge and it works a treat. I doubt this would stand up well to a thick conifer hedge (anyone?)

given mine a whirl already this morning. fine for plain old hedge and bushes, seems fine on leylandi. even tried it on smaller blackthorn branches without issues. I bought it to compliment my petrol cutter which I have for heavy duty cutting, but for maintenance jobs this seems great for 33 quid. read the reviews on b n q as they are really positive

Where were these in Washington store please?

they were not held with all the other hedge cutters as that's the new bar code stock. look in the very left hand side of the store as you walk in.

They have a couple still in Portsmouth branch. Not marked up and mixed in with the full priced ones but if you check the bar codes of the boxes you'll find one as I did at 8am this morning.
Thanks op was needing one of these and at this price it's a great bargain.
