Just bought one of these for 179 pounds down from 399 when they first came out. Still 259 in Argos today. I know they have mixed reviews but still a lot of spec for this reduced price. Also come with Sainsbury 1 year warranty and one year of Office
is this not the 12V64, at least that's the one in my local store. still not a bad price though, tempted.

Be PREPARED to 'travel' for these?! ( I was ... )
Last year when there was a massive blow out of the 10 Inch Linx 1010B Windows 10 Lite Tablet's, I was prepared to travel out of my own comfort zone, farrrrrrrr!.
I travelled at LEAST 15+ miles for some of mine?, so ...
And the previus year when there was also a similar blow out of Blaupunkt 10 Inch Android Tablet's (and yes, at Sainsbury's AGAIN!), I again was prepared to travel at least 15+ miles for some of them too?!.
You have been warned?, hahahaha (bare that in mind also, etc ... ) :-)

great price, saw this a few weeks ago in East Kilbride. Only thing putting me off is the various light bleed reports and battery performance.
was very very tempted

Not noticed the light bleed though was aware of some complaints in that area, battery decent depending on what you have running I guess, I think for the current price this is very good spec

I got one of these when £200. I didn't like it at first, but I think it's great now. The only real issue is the sound volume is very low.

15 miles? You call that travelling? lol that's a normal trip to the shops (one way). Travelling is driving from Maidstone to Cambridge for a Macbook Pro deal that was on here years ago and it was more than worth the trip.

Mac Books, and cheapish Tablets, are not quite in the same category I'd have thought?.
Depends upon your interpretation really? (I did say 15+)
In the past I've travelled more than 25+ miles either way from 1 end of London to another end, purely because certain Pound Shops + other similar Discount Shops had certain one-off things there that my end's at the time never had (but the last scenario's were some x-years back).
Your bargain luxury item that you desired was a Mac Book Pro, I understand, but ...
Would you have done the same/similar for menial things?.
The main point I was initially trying to raise was, if anyone wanted any of the OP's fully fledged bargain Tablets etc (that have been on and off sold for those reduced prices for x-months now, then they), they shouldn't necessarily expect them same said items in their back yard anymore? (as in my case, some certain things I needed, clearly weren't?).
Sometimes (depending on your need at the time I guess), you may need to look around a little in different places?, which time-factor wise, distance involved, necessity for said item/items, or whatever, may probably dictate whether all such is worth bothering with in the first place, etc? (such random one-off's here and there are fine, but can't see myself doing such on a regular like ... )
That pretty much was my only trail of thought really. :-)

SKU for anyone interested in these is 130615476.
Currently £280 'on offer' at eBuyer so this represents great value.
I mentioned this in another thread that the quality control on these seems to be very patchy. If you get a good one it's a terrific bargain – the 1080p screen is great, it's reasonably capable and the keyboard is not bad at all. For media consumption and, say, light office work it's an absolute steal and they look the part.
Again, the issue is getting one that isn't a lemon. I persisted with three different models before giving up – one had a faulty volume rocker, another had a glitchy touchscreen with a mind of its own, one had Wi-Fi with atrocious speed (despite driver updates). But I know of plenty of people who have them with no issues – just luck of the draw, I guess. I wonder if there were so many returns that Linx have replaced it with the 12x64 from a new supplier.
There are also loads of helpful posts (and drivers) at the Linx12/Versare section of the LinxTablet forum .

In stock in Altrincham and Cheadle (Cheshire). Just returned mine unopened. Can't justify it, don't need it. Hot deal though!

£179 was the deal, so, it's not really a surprise. Especially now the price is back up to what it was before.
