Makes me chuckle when the uneducated see the bee all and end all in a 'Store' and how many apps that provides, and that's all that matters.
In the end if you are buying a Linx 1010B for an app store alone, its not the product for you, suggest you buy an Android or Apple tablet, they are for people who only want to run apps from one 'store'.
These are pure 'Store' figures... I can offer the links if you wish to read the articles yourself.
Android Play Store - 2,280,000 (July 2016)
Apple App Store - 1,400,000 (January 2015)
Windows Store - 669,000+(September 2015)
Now for those who can think outside the box, Steve Bulmer publicised that there were 4 million native Windows applications back at CES in 2010... So Windows had over 2x as many 'apps' available 5 years previous... enough said.
You need to look at what you need from a device and buy to your needs. Don't buy a product and then moan that the product is poor because you purchased the incorrect product and then it doesn't meet your requirements.
In the end the Linx 2in1's are good value for money and for the price are decent at what they do.

Brilliant thank you for letting me know. How is the battery life? Do you have any case recommendations?

I found it great for reading magazines via the Readly app. That's going to get trickier in future though as Readly have annoyingly ended support for their Windows app. They say you can still use Readly via a browser, though then you'll need to be connected to Wifi or be tethered I dare say.
For ebooks you may have downloaded, I use the Freda app and it works well enough with touch controls and a bunch of options for changing the font size, page colour etc. There may be better ebook readers on the Windows store, I haven't had an exhaustive search.

Just a note if plan on using this to copy files from one USB hdd to another it doesn't like powering two 2.5inch drives, I was using it for a month on holiday to South Africa and I was transferring media from my cameras to on hdd then plugging in the other to do a back up and it just shuts down the drive. I thought I killed one drive because of hard ticking from the hdd but it was fine after getting home.

The screen quality is excellent (albeit only 800p) but the problem with books and stuff is lack of decent Windows apps to read them on. In the end I only really used it as a small laptop - the OS renders Windows tablets pretty useless

Order while I have a think, just noticed it doesn't have a full 1080p screen so not sure how good it will be for reading

I've had one for a year or so now and it's a great machine for travelling with. Load it up with movies either directly, or on a USB and it takes the headache out of having the right codecs etc that you get watching movies on an iPad. I also pack a mini HDMI lead and very often you can hook it up to the TV in your room.
I definitely agree with the comment that the touchpad is the only criticism with this machine.

How is it for reading magazine and books etc?

Would recommend this for its battery life and build quality but I've definitely seen it cheaper on eBay.

Yeah, seen them cheaper on Ebay but not with the keyboard. Only ones cheaper are secondhand from private sellers.
Personally, if its only a few quid difference between Amazon and Ebay I go for Amazon every time.

Great little Windows tablet - however, on mine the keyboard trackpad is very poor due to the mouse buttons not being separate. Try to click on something and the pointer moves. :disappointed:
