Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
That doesn't have proper HDR being 8 bit, no Dolby vision, 60hz panel, and more importantly it isn't even a real 4k set being rgbw.
Run!

I would have grabbed this if it had 3D. Shame.

3d on 1080 sets is a bit crap, get the LG 55uh850 from Currys, often £720 or so with a voucher, it's a cracking set for the money (or the 49" is usually£100 or so cheaper)

Should do...if you still have the old 5-pin DIN connector you can connect that to the rca connectors on your TV. failing that you can use the VICModulator and buy an rca to ftype adaptor off eBay to connect to this TV.
Having said that, for a more authentic 80s experience, get yourself a Ferguson Colourstar 3657B TV set and have your dad burst into the room at some point while youre using it and have him go go crazy saying you're going to ruin the TV set.

And as i said above, it isn't even 4K? You can get 4k Tv's for £350 now
Why is this better than a £200 40 inch standard LED tv?

It's a smart TV so can have apps installed on it etc. My Father in law has this TV. I set it up for him and it had some cool features like being able to screen mirror with your phone. It has a built in web browser. A Netflix app. A Youtube app. + a bunch of others I don't remember. Obviously you could just buy a regular TV and use a streaming stick or android box for the same result.
It's graphical interface also shows much more clearly on the LG 43LH604V

Rather a sluggish interface on this LH604, I wouldn't recommend it unless it's only acting as a display for an external box (Freeview recorder, Sky etc.).
HDTVTest only review high end screens and all LG's high end models are OLEDs. The single LG LCD they've reviewed that's available to buy is the cheapest TV they've looked at in over two years - and that was £950 when they reviewed it.
They're hardly the people to judge the relative quality of budget TVs.

Not a bad price, but I rate LG as the worst of the big 4 for LCD/LED screens. Look up the non-OLED reviews of LG sets on hdtvTest if you don't believe me. It's a bit more expensive, but i think the Samsung 49K5500 for £399 at RicherSounds is a better buy (with 6 year warranty) for this level of TV.
