Not for everyone but very portable if not especially quick ultrabook. Just picked one up for the other half.

While id prefer 8gb, I don't "need" it
This laptop isn't aimed at people looking for more intensive usage, 4gb is fine for general use for this type of laptop. More is always nicer but not necessary

4gb does seem a bit low these days. I would be hesitant to buy anything less than 8gb. Silver lining. At least the inevitable paging will be fast since it is SSD. I bought the 510 from currys at Christmas for £550 with 10‰quidco. That has an i5, 8 gb and a separate graphics card. Very pleased so far. Unfortunately they are currently asking a whopping £699 for it so not really comparible right now. But if you can wait until it comes around again I recommend them.

Don't think I'd buy another machine with 4GB.
Bought a dirt cheap Dell about 3 years ago that has 4GB, so I wouldn't pay £500, especially when it can't be upgraded.

It is possible but it would take more effort than it is worth. The scaling is nowhere near as good on Windows 7 as it is 10 and with a WQHD 12.5" screen you will need scaling!
The time it takes to install Windows 7... you would have gotten used to Windows 10 in that time.

Ive got one.. arrived last week.
Seems decent, not rapid of course but fast enough for low power, low weight
Limited to 4gb ram and is soldered on, but 4gb is enough for day to day. Screen is nice, but quite glossy. Keyboard is backlit if you want and much better than some of Lenovo's other laptop keyboards (ive found).
Speakers ok, not great but not as bad as some.
Overall, for the money I found it ideal for the screen size, flippy touchscreen, decent keyboard and it looks pretty good for the money too. It "feels" nicer than the price suggests if that makes sense. Its also a lot thinner and lighter than I expected, even with the pictures.
Lots of Lenovo software guff on it, so it might be worth a full win 10 reinstall when you get it, I reckon itll be a bit quicker then.

Good price for a touchscreen; Windows 10 is usable; main question is will all your programs work on it?
so no you can't run Win7 on this laptop
Could I put windows 7 on and it and use that as a os
