Stopped playing L4d2 after 2777 hours, mainly Scavenge mode. Once Valve failed to update and patch the vulnerabilities, and cheating became prevalent the game lost interest even playing with a group of friends. Let's hope L4d3 materialises, as it's solely overdue!

I think rumours have been around about it for years, but it still hasn't turned up. The first two came out pretty close together (I think it was about a year) and people moaned but now they've gone too far the other way!
