So got my local Homebase's to pricematch and also got 10% of the difference refunded! Took 5-10mins but a pretty smooth service from Homebase! Even at £399 it's a pretty good price! Happy to upload my receipt for proof

Good price, I'm on year 3 of using my Lay-Z-Spa Vegas and (for the price) has been a super investment.

If you copy the receipt for the £359 @ Homebase wont Homebase match their own price? just a thought.....

10% off the price is what I got, this was authorised by the manager for pricematch

Looks like this was a one-off price at this store as the Manager has clearly made a mistake with the price match. Homebase clearly state that they price-match and then refund 10% of the difference. This would make this £399.99 then 10% of the difference of £100 = £10, so at any other Homebase store the price if anyone else goes to buy would be £389.99.

Good deal you got there but I think they cocked up the price match discount and gave you 10% of the price instead of 10% of difference so it's unlikely that others will get the same price.

Good price. I am not sure if I should go for one or not. Seen a good number of friends buy similar ones, they tend to use them for a few months, then pack them away in the shed never to be seen again.
Does anyone have any ideas on running costs for these, as I am assuming they will need cleaning tablets etc, plus power to keep them at right temp.

I manage a student house with one... lots of complaints from the neighbours - they are always in it...
Any good deals on Pampas Grass or large glass ashtrays?

I don't get how these are chavtastic? I've not seen any unruly teenagers walking down my local high street with one of these draped over their shoulders?

Yes but this is a better model than the vegas so not really a comparison!

I still am not sure of one of these, how much does it actually cost to run one of these?

I have the Paris and love it! In my second year and leave it constantly from about April to October and uses approx £6 extra electricity a week.. well worth it as we usually use it daily.

Yeah that's right
The construction of the tub is different and it does come with a cover.
I would put a link to the lay-z-spa website but I'm sure you'll find it

Showed them the receipt above but they didn't won't to price match it, as a mistake. 380£ still good deal

I got it at homebase for £399.99. Tried my luck as its a lot closer to me than the range. I chatted with the girl in Homebase and her manager told her she had to phone therange to make sure they had stock before they would price match. She phoned the closest one and they had no stock. After i started listing 4 or 5 other theranges i knew of she just gave me it. I also mentioned the 10% and she told me she would def have to get confirmation of a therange with stock to get me that so i just took it at £399.99. Still a great bargain and i have it heating up ready to try in the morning

I did similar with Argos and flubit - for the Monoco - saved a good wack - well worth the £1.50 a month subscription fee.

Typical, I've just had the Saint Tropez delivered for a similar price. Is this a huge improvement on the ST? Is the difference just the shape and number of air jets? Is the capacity still similar, etc?
MajorTom2 to Sancho
8 Jun 171#30
It has more air jets than the Saint Tropez but actually holds 8L less water from what I can see. I'm in exactly the same boat (or hot tub) as you!

I've bought 16 No. 600mm square foam mats, so I think this will sit better. I'll end up ordering/returning 3 hot tubs this week. The Vegas, Saint Tropez and potentially this now.

Do these require a lot of maintenance to keep water clean, and is the pump noisy? I'm thinking about it firing up in the garden at all hours of the night.

Yes water needs to be kept at certain levels with chlorine tablets and you need to dip test everyday. The pumps are noisy but I don't think they are that bad to be honest. Any hot tub is noisy to a certain degree

The circulating filter/heater pump is quiet but the air jet pump sounds like a hair dryer and is quite loud!
As for maintaince from what I've read online I've decided to just use multifunction 20g chlorine tablet in the supplied chemical floater and plan to add another ever 3-5 days (when tablet is nearly dissolved) also clean the filter once a week and replace it every month (12 filters are about £22 on eBay)

Just been to homebase and they're being dicks about it refusing to honour price match as the range had sold out between me calling them and getting to homebase. They then said the product was an online only item which definitely isn't. All in all homebase very unhelpful and disappointing

Have you phoned your local the range stores to see if they have stock?
Then get Homebase to ring them!

I went into Homebase today to try and see if they would do a pricematch for this. They said they only pricematch companies that are selling the item at full price, no sale prices included.
