Is there a difference in taste of food between using a gas BBQ and your gas grill in the kitchen? I know charcoal BBQ gives a different/smoky taste but have never been too sure about the difference with gas BBQs. Thanks for your advice

Ok I had one also and did not have these issues hence my above comment. Regarding the food sticking. Use a spray oil and this should sort that issue. Don't think it's faulty if the food is sticking just down to user error. Loads of videos on YouTube on how to use a gas bbq.

I didn't need to use any kind of spray oil on the B&Q one I used successfully for a number of years. The food didn't stick and the heat was easy to regulate. The sticking is because it's chrome plated grill rather than cast iron but obviously that's down to the price.
As for youtube, don't be a condescending little twerp! A decent gas BBQ shouldn't require the 'user' to watch over it every second to make sure it behaves.
It's an occasional use BBQ for a small number of mouths to feed.

Yes I need one of these! I'm just concerned that it may not be suitable for a balcony?
Its fairly open so plenty of circulation, but do you think the heat would affect the structure overhead? It's about 9ft tall

Had one of these few years ago. Price is good but quality is rubbish, very flimsy. What you pay is what you get.
Read the reviews there on the product page, there is a review from someone who bought it 3 days ago for £50 saying as well that it's flimsy and unstable.

Got 1 a few weeks ago as a cheap interim... Constructing it was tough as instructions are next to useless but works pretty well, cooks great... And I'm coming from using a weber and beefeater (obviously not as good but it's 300 quid cheaper!)

It was £25 back in September. I don't think I'll bother. The food sticks to the flimsy chrome-plated cooking grill. Is that faulty too? The point that I was making is that it's extremely difficult to get the right heat balance to be able to walk away without coming back 5 mins later to a food that shows no sign of cooking or burt to a crisp. Oh, and if any fat drips, whoooosh!!! Fireball!:stuck_out_tongue:

Clearly faulty then. Take it back and get a replacement

I bought one of these as a temporary replacement for a BBQ New York 3 burner. Whilst I'm not comparing like for like, I was really disappointed with this Landmann. I find it either cooks too slow (well, doesn't cook at all) on lowest heat or too quick on any other heat. I've used it 3 times so far and plan on using it tomorrow but I am a not going to enjoy using it.
